Shock Block Bolt Buffer for Ruger® 10/22®

I wasn't convinced that a bolt buffer pin was a necessary upgrade for my Ruger 10/22. But for $5, I ordered one when I purchased the Tandemkross skeleton charging handle. My plan today was to clean my 10/22 and install the new charging handle for an Appleseed event tomorrow. When I disassembled my 10/22 I found that my original bolt stop pin had broken into two pieces. I'm a believer now that there is sufficient stress on the receiver, bolt stop pin, and/or bolt to justify a bolt buffer pin. Good thing I added the bolt buffer pin to my order or I'd have been SOL for the Appleseed event tomorrow!

A little hard to get in, so I ground the sharp edge down just a bit. Works good and doesn’t fall out when the receiver is out of the stock.

For the price why not put one in? this product is as advertised and installed easily with some very minor fitting.

These were priced affordably, built strong, and sized perfectly. I'm very impressed with these as compared with another popular brand of bolt buffer that I've bought and used in the past. From now on, these are my choice in 10/22 bolt buffers.

Not critical for operation. Only real benefit is slightly lower noise. Running a suppressor on your bull barrel? If not maybe don't get the rubbery pin. Just a nice little bonus, but the shipping in hindsight was a bit too much. Your aluminum receiver won't get damaged over time with the stock metal pin if you are worried about that. Finish of pin ends are pretty crummy. Can't cut this bouncy material cleanly.
