The 10/22® is a legendary rifle but just like any other gun, it has its own annoyances. Releasing the bolt on a factory original Ruger® 10/22® requires the operator to manipulate the bolt lock with one hand while releasing the bolt with the other.
The TANDEMKROSS Guardian Bolt Release Plate eliminates this manual and tedious step. Once installed it enables the operator to release the bolt in an intuitive way by pulling back slightly on the bolt handle and the bolt simply releases. This part is a must have for any serious 10/22® owner.

Awesome upgrade, however grinding the V out of the stock plate would accomplish the same thing

Works great. Very tight fit. Took a little "polishing" to get it sliding right, but is working great now.

Bolt Release is a safety ENHANCEMENT for new shooters
The bolt release helps new shooters manipulate the bolt to chamber a round with less fumbling. Therefore they maintain control of the firearm and control the muzzle!

Guardian Bolt Release Plate for Ruger 10/22
The Guardian bolt release plate is a great aftermarket replacement for the OEM plate. The OEM plate requires you to hold the lever for the release plate while you slide the bolt forward to engage the hold back. To release the OEM, you need two hands. One to pull the charging handle back and the other to manipulate the lever for the OEM bold release plate to get it to release. With the Guardian Bolt Release Plate, all you need to do is pull back on the charging handle, moving the bold rearward and the plate releases. You can then just release the bolt and it moves forward into Battery.

Guardian Bolt release
Works as designed. It fits a bit snug and needs some use to break in but works flawlessly. Price is not bad...Cant understand why Ruger doesnt just make the part this way and save everyone the trouble.
