Great idea. Flawed execution. The plastic compound will not make it through the second opening in the receiver. No matter how well guided, buffer pin cannot be pushed or hammered through the opposite hole in the receiver. Instead the material disforms. Does not matter whether the receiver holes or the buffer are cleaned or lightly lubed.

Mr.
Works well in quieting down the bolt. I wasn't very impressed by the fit/finish, the cuts were rough, did not fit very well, but for $5... meh.

Buffer
Significant reduction in bolt noise, installed in three differ rifles and only had a hard time with one install. Overall great product.

awesome product
I didn't think I could reduce the recoil on my 10/22 (since there is hardly any to begin with) but this actually does the trick. Shoots noticeably softer and quieter. Mine was cut a little rough on either end, so install was tricky, but not bad. I'm going to order another one for a spare. Easily the best $5 you can spend on your rifle.

Quiet & smooth
Not much to add to the above reviews. It is a tight fit to the receiver holes, but a slight bevel from a belt sander to break the sharp edges takes care of that. It's a must have part.

Quieter.
This would not fit my 10/22 easily. I could only get it in a very short way. I put it in a drill motor and used sandpaper to get it to proper size. I did half, flipped it end for end in the drill and finished it up. It is snug and takes some effort to remove it. But it still is a great improvement.

Good replacement item
Got one of these to try out on my rifle, fits well, actually stays put better than the original. I will buy a couple more for spares.

It makes a difference
I did not realize just how hard the bolt hit until I tried this. The noise difference alone is a good reason to replace the factory stop. If you use a suppressor, you will notes the differences even more. I've had it on my 10/22 for a good while now and it still looks like new.
