Great addition to the 10/22. No more slamming of metal to metal. Makes shooting a lot quieter and in turn things seem to run smoother. Original metal buffer fell out when tipped and this one was a bit snug. Got a perfect fit by putting a piece of sandpaper ( 100 grit I think) on the table and gently sanded the buffer its whole length while constantly rotating it. This is interesting material as the sanding did not tear it up or leave it rough and "furry". This one does not fall out but can still be removed by hand. Thanks TK.

Buffer
Works great. A bit tough to install the first time. Had to sand a bit off the edge of the one end to help it in installation. But after that it works great. Would recommend it for all 10/22's and chargers.

A little tight to install through the second hole, but work great once you get it in. I lightly tapered the edge of the pin with sandpaper and guided it in the second hole with a small screw driver while tapping the pin. Also pulling the bolt back to the pin several times helped.

From CLUNK, to thump.
While I only have this as a spare to the one I already have in my 10/22, this one was half the price of the other. If you don't have one of these in your 10/22, well when you finally do, you will realize the CLUNK of the bolt hitting the metal Bolt Stop, is louder than the crack of the .22 when fired. This takes that cheap sounding CLUNK, and turns it into a more quality sounding soft thump. I also found on installation, a little lube helps. :-D

Shock Buffer
As one other reviewer stated, it's a hard fit to get it in the holes, however, once it's in it works great. 10/22 is much quieter when the bolt is cycling and I'm guessing the bolt and frame will last longer. Doesn't go in as easy as others I've used but seems to work very well and I don't have to worry about it falling out.

Works well but can be a problem installing
I ordered two of these. The one on my first rifle it was easy to install. The one for the second rifle, not so much After about 5 minutes I managed to get it through both holes. 10/22s don't have much of a recoil so I couldn't tell if it's reduced but it's quieter and the bolts should last longer instead of slamming against the stock steel buffer pin.
