    Have been using one of these tools for a few years now and I bought another makers version of the Ruger 10/22 and discovered this tool almost worked as it is. Due to the firearm manufacturing differences, I thinned the shorter length of the tool about 50% for about a half inch from the end to work with the "10/22 Copy". So, I decided to order another tool to use with my real Ruger 10/22"s, plus a spare tool just in case. Yep, bought two this time.

    This is the greatest thing since sliced bread! I struggled getting the bolt out then back in. This tool makes it so easy. The extractor feature is great too.

    I had a cheap 3D printed tool like this from eBay. After it broke I just went back to using a screwdriver to hold the spring tension while I found the bolt groove. But this Gunsmithet tool is metal and has the pins to retract the extractor plunger and spring and hold it while removing the extractor. Easy to reassemble using the reverse order. Good tool.
