The 10/22® is a legendary rifle but just like any other gun, it has its own annoyances. Releasing the bolt on a factory original Ruger® 10/22® requires the operator to manipulate the bolt lock with one hand while releasing the bolt with the other.
The TANDEMKROSS Guardian Bolt Release Plate eliminates this manual and tedious step. Once installed it enables the operator to release the bolt in an intuitive way by pulling back slightly on the bolt handle and the bolt simply releases. This part is a must have for any serious 10/22® owner.

Ruger R&D needs to use tandemkross experts
This is the way a 10/22 should function. Maybe ruger needs to consult with tandemkross and make a tandemkross addition, than we would get the perfect rifle out of the box!

Worked perfectly in my new 10/22 Take Down Lite with stock trigger assembly. Also, it worked perfectly in my son's 10/22 that had been upgraded with a Kidd bolt and trigger parts. Note, he had bought a bolt release plate from another mfg but it would not work as an automatic release with the Kidd bolt. We are just getting started in the NSSF Rimfire Challenge and these bolt release plates are nice assessories.

10/22 Must Have!
I have never really modified any gun I own, but this was my first. I don't understand why Ruger didn't make the 10/22 operate like this in the first place. So nice and so easy to install. Directions were very clear. The video's that TandemKross supply are worth watching. I watched it several times before ordering. By the time I got the Guardian in hand it took me 30 seconds to change out.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do and is easy to install. Makes the 10/22 a lot more user friendly. I don't know why Ruger didn't build it this way to start with. I always thought the factory release was hard to work with.
