The 10/22® is a legendary rifle but just like any other gun, it has its own annoyances. Releasing the bolt on a factory original Ruger® 10/22® requires the operator to manipulate the bolt lock with one hand while releasing the bolt with the other.
The TANDEMKROSS Guardian Bolt Release Plate eliminates this manual and tedious step. Once installed it enables the operator to release the bolt in an intuitive way by pulling back slightly on the bolt handle and the bolt simply releases. This part is a must have for any serious 10/22® owner.

Awesome, just installed, a work of art, works like it should. It takes awhile for items to arrive across the border, but I am used to this.

Works well some sanding required on my trigger housing. Much easier operating than factory release.

Poor Finish
metal bites on most edges.after ALOT of filing and sanding.then repainting I was comfortable with installing it.could juster 1in100 defect. but I was very disappointed with the finished product. can not recommend at this time.

Get one!
Do enough research, and you will soon learn that with the right tools and enough skill, you can modify the factory plate to do what this (and every other maker's) plate does. Still, I bought this plate because everything that TK makes and sells is a value purchase, and only makes my 10/22 a better rifle. It's still a pain to have to use two fingers to lock the charging handle back (c'mon Ruger!), but this plate at least lets your release your bolt with just a light tug on the handle. Very handy!

Must have 10/22 accessory
One of the biggest problems with the 10/22 is the hard to use bolt release. When I first got my 10/22 it took me 10 minutes to figure out how to release the bolt. It's a pain. This easy to install update makes the bolt release work like it should! Easy and intuitive.

Why Wouldn't You Install This?
Why would you not put this in your 10/22? It makes it so much easier to release the bolt on a fresh magazine and takes only a couple of minutes to install. Improve the bolt with the edge extractor and firing pin and this little gun starts to perform like it was meant to do.
