Guardian Bolt Release Plate for Ruger® 10/22®

installed into my trigger group, while doing a total makeover on my 6 y/o sr-22 rifle. drop in part, topnotch fit, perform,s as advertised. with all the other mods i performed, i now have a basically new and improved rifle that i cant wait to get to the range. big plus, made in america. great job done by the tandemkross team as usual

I purchased this release plate after struggling with the need for 3 hands to close the bolt on my 10/22 takedown. The instructions were easy to understand. Some simple hand tools were all that was needed, the job took maybe 15 minutes tops. It's now so much easier to operate the bolt. I much needed investment that really improved the rifle. I would recommend it to anyone.

There are several different variations of this part available, as well as a pretty simple way to modify the original part. What attracted Me to this particular item is that the holes are minimal and only slide one simple direction. got to use it for the first time and was flawless in function. Had to get a couple more. Enough said.

I installed this item and the "Fireswitch" Extended Magazine Release on a new Ruger BX Trigger to upgrade my older 1970s 10/22. It was like getting a new rifle. No more fumbling with the tricky stock bolt release--Pull the bolt back a bit and let go; the bolt goes forward into battery. Together with the "Fireswitch" release, magazine change is now really fast and can be done without losing my shooting position.

I tried the mod to the bolt release plate and didn't like the 'sloppy' feel to the part. Ordered one of these and found I had to file some of the burrs and sharp edges off to get it to fit without a lot of friction on the mag release pin. Ordered a second one for another Ruger 10/22 and it fit perfectly without needing any filing.

Awesome, just installed, a work of art, works like it should. It takes awhile for items to arrive across the border, but I am used to this.

Works well some sanding required on my trigger housing. Much easier operating than factory release.

metal bites on most edges.after ALOT of filing and sanding.then repainting I was comfortable with installing it.could juster 1in100 defect. but I was very disappointed with the finished product. can not recommend at this time.

Do enough research, and you will soon learn that with the right tools and enough skill, you can modify the factory plate to do what this (and every other maker's) plate does. Still, I bought this plate because everything that TK makes and sells is a value purchase, and only makes my 10/22 a better rifle. It's still a pain to have to use two fingers to lock the charging handle back (c'mon Ruger!), but this plate at least lets your release your bolt with just a light tug on the handle. Very handy!
