The 10/22® is a legendary rifle but just like any other gun, it has its own annoyances. Releasing the bolt on a factory original Ruger® 10/22® requires the operator to manipulate the bolt lock with one hand while releasing the bolt with the other.
The TANDEMKROSS Guardian Bolt Release Plate eliminates this manual and tedious step. Once installed it enables the operator to release the bolt in an intuitive way by pulling back slightly on the bolt handle and the bolt simply releases. This part is a must have for any serious 10/22® owner.

I really like the way it functions. Installation was a no-brainer, very simple. It functions as described. The only con is that when the bolt is locked back if you bang the butt of the gun or jar the gun in any way the bolt will release by itself. That's not a big deal although I would prefer to only have the bolt release when I want it to release with my hand. I can live with that but it's just something I didn't expect. Other than that I am pleased with it. I love the one-handed operation to release the bolt.

With all the different Ruger 10/22 "enhancement" parts available, this "Guardian" Bolt Release Plate has to be the best. It makes a world of difference and takes a three-step process to a one-step process when releasing the bolt. I highly recommend it. More importantly, though, is the outstanding customer service given my TandemKross. The prices are highly competitive and, unlike other sites, shipping is so fast that everything I order has been received in three to four days. You can't ask for better service. Easy to install and worked as advertised. I have 2 Ruger 10/22 rifles and installed one in each of them.

The functionality of this bolt release is 100% better than the stock dual action. In competition where time counts this piece turns a 2 handed job in to a 1 handed job. Excellent function, EZ install in less than 5 minutes, nothing to it w/instructions that are clear.

Setting up a second 10/22 and this part did not seem to be as smooth in its release as my Volquartson.
