The 10/22® is a legendary rifle but just like any other gun, it has its own annoyances. Releasing the bolt on a factory original Ruger® 10/22® requires the operator to manipulate the bolt lock with one hand while releasing the bolt with the other.
The TANDEMKROSS Guardian Bolt Release Plate eliminates this manual and tedious step. Once installed it enables the operator to release the bolt in an intuitive way by pulling back slightly on the bolt handle and the bolt simply releases. This part is a must have for any serious 10/22® owner.

Bolt Release Plate For 10/22
The video was very helpful and the installation was easy. The Guardian Bolt Release is a great improvement over Ruger's which requires two hands to release. I am very pleased with its smooth operation.

Bolt Release
After getting my 10/22, I was not impressed by this upgrade based on how youtube videos were selling it. I've been burned by many parts before. I gave this a try and I see why this is a must have. The benefit of this over the stock version is speed and simplicity of operation. I measure things as "If adrenaline is pumping, how is it to use?" The stock version requires too much concentration and you have to do it just right to operate it while fiddling with your rifle. But the Guardian eliminates the "in the heat of the moment" frustration in case you need to speed reload.

Guardian bolt release—Ruger 10/22
Such a simple device and a snap to install. I much prefer to pull back the bolt and release than reaching around, locating and then pulling back on the little plate tab. Tandemkross’s innovations continue to amaze me. Keep at it, guys!

I highly recommend swapping out the original bolt release plate with this one. Not hard to do; the TandemKross video on YouTube was very helpful. I was at the range today with my 10/22 & a friend who was using her 10/22 for the first time... we were annoyed with the standard bolt release - waaaay too much fiddling required. I'm so glad I had already swapped mine out, it was great! I'll be helping her upgrade her 10/22 with this plate.
