The ADX receiver at the core of this pistol stands above the rest with numerous patented innovations. Most prominent among these is the left-side charging handle allowing easy charging and bolt manipulation with your support hand without disrupting your sight picture or breaking your firing grip. The charging handle features easy bolt lock-back functionality as well. With the handle pulled back, simply lift the charging handle up into the steel-reinforced locking notch and the bolt will hold open. To send the bolt home, simply swipe the handle down and out of the locking notch with a quick, gratifying slap.

Even cleaning and maintaining your ADX is easier than other rimfire platforms. Unlike other options, you can completely field strip your ADX Pistol by simply removing three pins. Successfully removing a bolt from a similar fully assembled platform would usually take minutes and a combination of tools. With the ADX, this is achievable with a single punch or other readily available “tool” like a handy allen key, end of a chamber flag, or even the tip of a pen.

The ADX receiver features a removable back cap that greatly simplifies removal and reinstallation of the bolt and charging handle. This also opens up the rear of the receiver for much easier access to otherwise hard-to-reach interior nooks and crannies for cleaning including the use of solid cleaning rods for clearing the bore. To reassemble the action, simply drop the charging handle assembly and bolt into place, slide them forward, and reinstall the back cap to get back to the range.

Along the top of the ADX receiver is an integrally machined extended picatinny rail with a skeletonized channel down its length. This provides ample rigid optic mounting real estate with minimal weight. The receiver is finished with a proprietary Teflon-impregnated hardcoat black anodizing to increase durability and reduce friction from the bolt even after high round counts.

Anchoring the receiver is the Manticore X Lower, TANDEMKROSS’s innovative and ergonomic fire control group assembly. TANDEMKROSS’s Manticore X Lower transforms traditional rimfire rifle trigger packs into something more akin to an AR-style lower, allowing the firearm to be dissected into upper and lower halves with just two self-retaining takedown pins. An enlarged bolt lock, bi-directional magazine release, pull-weight-adjustable trigger, ambidextrous rotary safety, and more make Manticore X one of the most comprehensive fire control group upgrades on the market. More than just another trigger assembly, TANDEMKROSS’s unique lower brings rimfire sporting firearms into the modern era by redefining how the firearm should look, operate, and feel. Instead of a traditional form factor where the trigger assembly and chassis or stock are all separate parts, the Manticore X Lower is an integral system that seamlessly unites these components.

The adjustability does not stop there. This pistol ships with a section of picatinny for mounting pistol braces installed inline configuration, best suited for use with tall sights or optics on risers. The user, however, can reconfigure that section of picatinny to its alternative 12° downward-angled position for use with lower-profile sights and optics closer to the bore axis. Additionally, the pistol ships with a replacement buffer tube mount for even more customization options for those who prefer telescoping pistol braces. Manticore X Lowers additionally feature a reversible quick-detach (QD) sling mount.

Rounding out the build is TANDEMKROSS’s industry-leading lightweight Comet barrel, which comes threaded ½”x28 for use with compensators, suppressors, and other muzzle devices. The tensioned barrel sleeve provides rigidity to maintain accuracy, but is cut for M-LOK® accessories, providing more space for lights, lasers, and more while also reducing weight and venting away heat. The sum of its parts allows for unparalleled accessorization on a barrel that punches well above its weight in terms of accuracy.
