Handy tool
If you don't already have some kind of small punch, this helpful tool easily punches out the pins in your trigger assembly. Haven't used it to remove the safety, but I'm confident it would do the job.

There are some tools you can get the job done with out. And then there are some that are just cool to have, work and cut down on looking for more than just one gadget to get the job done. I like this one and recommend it. It’s worth the small $.

While the Ruger 10/22 trigger assembly isn't very complex, it does require spring compression in tight spaces. This tool paid for itself on the first use.
