Gunsmither Bolt Bar and Extractor Tool for Ruger® 10/22®

One of the most aggravating jobs to do on a Ruger 10-22 is to replace the blanktey, blank bolt, recoil spring and bolt handle. I have used screw drivers, fingers and who knows what to fight the bolt assemply back into the receiver. Then I found this tool. I have only used it once and that will prbably be the only time I use it as I have replaced the bolt and recoil spring in my 10-22 with a Volquartsen Competition bolt assembly and no longer require this tool. But for that one time, it was a life saver. The bolt and recoil psring went in with out an fighting at all. This tool is a life saver and make a very aggrivating job very easy! Great tool! GET IT!

Bought this to install a new extractor in a friend's 10/22 and to reinstall the bolt. Worked great. No losing the extractor spring/plunger when taking apart or reinstalling. Only thing is instructions said to use a piece of paper to protect the finish on the receiver from scratching. I just wrapped electrical tape around the shaft between the bends and problem solved. They could solve the problem with a little plastic coating in the same space.

This simple tool is almost a must have in the tool kit of 10/22 owners. Makes bolt service quick, easy and simple. After fussing with the extractor without a tool I am so glad I bought this 10/22 Bolt Bar and Extractor Tool by Gunsmither. This is a great tool for Bolt & Extractor removal. It makes those job much easier. It's also great at removing the trigger housing pins. I must have tool for the 10/22.

This tool makes it much simpler to take down and reassemble the bolt in the receiver. As a bonus, I installed the Eagle Talon extractor, and this tool had the correctly spaced pins to make the extractor removal and install a cinch. One of those 'wish I thought of this' kind of tool - simple and effective. I wish the price was a little lower, but I'm only planning on buying one in my lifetime, so it's not ridiculous considering the years of use I'll get out of it.

Tool to easily and QUICKLY remove/reinstall a 10/22 bolt. Have not yet needed to remove an extractor yet, but it fits the bolt perfectly for this. Money well spent!!

Wonderful product. Made a terrible operation a dream. Never plan to ever be without this toll as long as I own 1022s which will be the rest of my life.

I bought this tool for the ease of taking the bolt out for cleaning my two Ruger 10/22s. It works fine for removing and reinstalling the bolt. It also was a great assist for replacing the ejector and spring. See the Tandemkross video to see it in action.

I love this tool! I used to shoot my 10/22 to failure because cleaning it, in particular getting the bolt back in was such a pain. Not any more. This tool made it very easy and worked just as well as the video demonstrated. I even put in one of the eagle claw extractors with this tool-also easy. I wish they would make one for the Marlin model 60.
