The Bolt Keeper Extended Bolt Lock for Ruger® 10/22® is designed to improve the bolt lock back function by offering an extended and widened profile.
Simplifying the bolt lock operation, the Bolt Keeper Extended Bolt Lock for Ruger® 10/22® will allow the user to easily find the bolt lock by feel with either hand from either side of the gun.
Once installed, the Bolt Keeper will also allow the operator to release the bolt in a slingshot motion by pulling back slightly on the bolt handle and the bolt simply releases.

Great, but...
Another great product from TK. Rather than fiddling and feeling around for the bolt lock, the extended knob is right there to easily engage the bolt. It's very intuitive and looks great on my rifle. The ONLY drawback is that the extension occupies the physical space where you'd normally shove your finger to engage the OEM magazine release. It really is a minor thing and isn't an issue if you've upgraded the mag release lever to a TK Fireswitch or similar. I just finished a "Frankenstein" 10/22 from previous project parts when I noticed this. So, I'll be upgrading the mag release on this rifle too !

Bolt Keeper Bolt Lock
After more than 25 years of cussing the thin blade bolt lock on my 10/22, I recently purchased your "Bolt Keeper" Extended Bolt Lock. Using your easy-to-follow descriptive video, it was installed in less than 30 minutes. Now I can lock the bolt back & also slingshot the bolt into battery in a flash. Why hasn't Ruger made this much-needed improvement decades ago. To the average plinker or Rimfire Challenge shooter I highly recommend the "Bolt Keeper".

This is a must have item for the Ruger 10/22. It resolves the handling issue with the skinny, difficult bolt release and makes locking the bolt open easy and safe.

Installed my bolt keeper extended bolt lock on my old 10/22 yesterday . What a beauty ,no more fighting with the Oem lock what a difference wish I had that years ago .thanks for such a great device.

Bolt Keeper
While I love my Ruger 10/22 Liberty Training Rifle, the bolt keeper sucked! Near impossible to lock back and even harder to release using the stock configuration. Added the "Bolt Keeper" extended bolt lock in 15 minutes time and absolutely love the results. Made the 10/22 so much easier to operate.

Great Improvement
A very useful upgrade and much more convenient than the stock bolt release. I had already fitted a modified bolt release to let the rifle "sling shot" but this extended version is far easier to get to. It is particularly useful with an extended magazine release as these tend to mask the factory release tab.
