At a glance:

  • Captured spring makes installation easy
  • Makes cleaning your firearm simple
  • Improves reliability of slide alignment, improving accuracy

The TANDEMKROSS "Sentinel" Stainless Steel Captured Spring Guide Rod for Walther® P22® is an excellent upgrade for your Walther® pistol. The Walther® factory spring is extra long and extends past the spring guide rod. This design requires a special tool to reinstall and makes cleaning your P22 a challenge. The TANDEMKROSS stainless steel guide rod for the Walther® P22 features a “captured” spring, doing away with the need for any special equipment and making your firearm maintenance simple.

Because the spring is “captured,” the TANDEMKROSS “Sentinel” Spring Rod also returns the P22 slide to the same position every time, reducing up and down movement of the slide and improving accuracy.

This drop-in part is one of the best P22 accessories that will improve the performance and simplify the maintenance of your Walther® P22.

Also compatible with:

-P22 Q

As with all TANDEMKROSS products the P22 captured spring rod comes with a lifetime guarantee.

Finally a recoil spring that makes field stripping the P22 a breeze, i disliked the original one and bought another captured one that needed to be “pinched and held” while re- assemblying the slide, this is the only one i recommend, thank you thank you thank you

    Guide Rod Ease

Posted by Tim Evart on 12th Jun 2018

Too many factors go in to determining if this part improves function. Suffice to say that this little pistol has been functioning very well after installing this guide rod. And of course, it eases assembly like nothing else. I did have the screw that holds the spring onto the guide rod come off. Reassembly with some blue loctite has fixed that. If it comes off again, I’ll use red loctite, but so far after shooting it and checking the screw, it’s still nice and tight. If your P-22 does not have this captured spring guide rod, by all means get it.

    Captured Spring Great Choice

Posted by Alan Schaaf on 25th Apr 2018

I received this shortly after ordering, installed it as soon as I opened the package and have shot at least 1,000 rounds since, all without a failure. This captured spring takes an early PK22 closer to becoming equal to the latest model that has it's own captured (not compatible with the earlier model's) spring. Good well made product that I would buy again without hesitation.

this is a must have if you have an older walther p22. if you do have an older model p22 then you know its a pain in the butt to get the spring back in, but not this one!!! you will want to clean your gun more when you upgrade you p22 with this sprimg.

    Improves reliability

Posted by Daniel on 10th Mar 2018

Purchased this to make disassembly and reassembly easier. Also with the stock spring and guide rod as two separate units, there would be some drag if things weren't lined up causing jams. This improved function massively.
