This helped a of FTF and FTE issues in my 10/22 takedown that I ended up putting the springs in my 1977 10/22 and Ruger precession rifle.

Great Springs
When I got my new 10/22 I knew there were items I wanted to modify to boost its reliability. The mag release spring was one of them. This spring will hold the BX-25 mag with a better force than the stock spring and it is very easy to install. If you want to improve the 10/22 without spending too much, this is a good place to start. I also upgraded the mag release lever and the bolt release. I have had no FTF or FTF issue after 1000's of rounds.

Magazine springs
works flawlessly

improvement on hold mag
It seems to have help with use of the BX-25 mag issues. For the price it is worth to a slightly strong spring to hold the mags.

Springs
I bought these springs to hopefully hold the Ruger BX25 magazine tighter in the rifle. To this day I have yet to fire a full 25 rounds with this magazine without having a failure to feed, failure to eject or have a stove pipe. These springs didn't help. From now on I'm just going to use the 10 round magazine that came with the rifle and either sell or throw away the four BX25 magazines.

Mag release spring for Ruger 10/22
I suggested to TK a couple of years back to offer an improved mag release spring for the 10/22. I feel it is the weakest part of the whole Ruger 10/22 assembly. Here is their offering. I bought them right away. They are an improvement over stock by a lot. But, sorry, I feel they need to be stronger still. They could be twice as strong as these new ones then they would be what everyone needs to help hold the large magazines. This is my opinion from use and experience. These springs are way better than other so called stronger mag release spring offerings available for the 10/22. I know because I bought them and used them too. I personally would like them to be even stronger. Then I would feel more comfortable using the big BX25, BX25x2 and triple or quad mags without having to hold them up and and in tighter during use. The droop of these larger mags out of the receiver is real and causes many of the Fail To Feed problems with them. Once again I feel these springs are a large improvement over stock but, could be better.
