TANDEMKROSS 10/22® Double Kross/Magazine Assembly Tool Installation Instructions

At a Glance:

  • Simplify maintenance of rotary magazines
  • Glass-filled nylon and metal allen key
  • Compact and convenient to carry and store

The Magazine Assembly Tool with Pouch and Carabiner for Ruger® 10/22® from TANDEMKROSS is designed to make taking care of your rifle and its mags easy. If you’ve ever tried to disassemble a 10/22® rotary magazine, you know they come apart easily, but are tricky to put together.

This great tool kit allows you to easily take your rotary Ruger® 10/22® mags apart and put them back together with ease! Anyone firing large amounts of ammo (especially for competition) knows it’s important to regularly clean the insides of your magazines. Lots of .22LR ammunition can be waxy and that wax can buildup, causing magazines to become unreliable and lead to feeding failures. With this tool, that chore becomes much easier.

This tool is also a must-have for anyone repairing their magazines or building a TANDEMKROSS DoubleKross magazine. TANDEMKROSS’s Magazine Assembly Tool for Ruger® 10/22® can easily be stored and transported to the range, in the woods, or to your next match thanks to the included pouch and carabiner.

I liked the idea of this tool and it works reasonably well, as cleaning and reassembling a 10/22 mag is a pain anyways. I like the fact that it allows you to index the spring nut, to any position, as some older mags need an extra notch position to work right. I wish the release nut holder was a bit more exact in the fit around the spring nut, as I had to mark both the nut and the tool, so I could see where the nut was going to be pushed into as I wound the spring, but overall, it is so much better than trying to do it with your fingers or using needle nose pliers. I love the tool, but it could be a bit better.

Servicing 10/22 rotary magazines has never been a fun task and this tool doesn't change that. What it does do is to make it much easier to dissasemble and reassemble these magazines. Very pleased with this product!

Useful tool for Double Kross Mag housings

Tool works as described with one consideration. The centering pin needs to be inserted carefully. I damaged mine having difficulty aligning the pin inside the spring. After repairing the pin, I found a slight twisting motion solved the problem. The T-Handle for the hex nut is probably the most important part of the kit.
