The body/punch is CNC machined from rugged, non-marring Delrin which is already used for many firearm applications today. The latch pull loop is heavy duty, braided stainless steel wire. Both the loop and tempered steel extractor tool are affixed to an Aluminum cap that screws into the top of the tool.

Great little tool

This is a great little tool for disassembly and cleaning of your Mrk series pistol. So far I have only used the wire loop and non-marring punch end but am very pleased. The Mrk series are always very tight when new and the rear takedown pin(or whatever its called) will not come out with out a few hit with a punch. the body of the tool is a plastic or composit and will not mar the finish on your new toy. Simple and worth a few extra bucks.

OK, I admit that I was using a bent paper clip since the 80's, but I finally got around to getting an actual tool to break down my Mark III (originally for my Mark I)!

I find the tool is handy for lowering the mainspring strut and for removing the extractor. It also can be useful in tapping out the strut or aligning the holes in the bbl and frame for re assembly. It is a nice to have, not an absolute ,but for the money, it makes life easier if you use a Ruger!!

I really like the tool and found the quality very good. The cable loop is some much better than the paper clip i had been using. using the tool to help remove the tight bolt stop in one of my rugers. I have already recommended it to some of my range friends with Rugers.
