The body/punch is CNC machined from rugged, non-marring Delrin which is already used for many firearm applications today. The latch pull loop is heavy duty, braided stainless steel wire. Both the loop and tempered steel extractor tool are affixed to an Aluminum cap that screws into the top of the tool.

The "Pistol Pal" extractor tool also works great for the new Ruger® MKIV™ and MKIV™ 22/45™ pistols, to remove the extractor for changing to an aftermarket extractor and for cleaning.

The Gunsmither Pistol Pal tool is essential in removing the ejector in a Mark IV 22/45 Lite. It can be used to push back the plunger and spring, to allow removal of the extractor. And it is cheaper than buying a dental pick, for the same purpose. I was surprised at how strong the slender pin is..

This tool is a god sent for Ruger Mk 1,2,3 owners. I makes take down and magazine loading a breeze. Where has this miracle tool been all my days as a Ruger owner, since 1957?

I am glad I ordered this tool. It made the takedown of my Ruger 22/45 much easier. I started the takedown and was having a difficult time when I remembered purchasing this tool. It worked great.

Nice light, small tool, well made, and looks like it will do the job. Just bought a used, but almost new MkIII, I'm gonna need that tool for sure, the Mainspring Housing is super hard to snap open, the tool will be doing one of many jobs it was designed for and I'll find many more uses for it.

tried for hours to remove old extractor, with the paper clip trick, the dental pick trick, and failed. ordered this tool with 2 eagle claw extractors, and within two minutes had old extractor out and new eagle claw installed. happy to invest 13.99 for such a beneficial tool.
