If you own a Ruger® .22 Auto Pistol, you'll love this tool! This device was designed to ease the disassembly of the popular Ruger® MKI™ - MKIII™ and 22/45™ .22 Semi- Automatic Pistols. Various features of the Pistol Pal makes opening the takedown latch a snap, serve as a punch to drive out tight stubborn bolt stops and also has a self-contained tool for removing that pesky extractor! It even serves as a magazine loading assistant on MKIII™ magazines.
Sized to fit your shooting box, or in your pocket. This excellent tool was designed and is manufactured by a professional gunsmith on modern CNC machine tools. The body/punch is CNC machined from rugged, non-marring Delrin which is already used for many firearm applications today. The latch pull loop is heavy duty, braided stainless steel wire. Both the loop and tempered steel extractor tool are affixed to an Aluminum cap that screws into the top of the tool.
The "Pistol Pal" extractor tool also works great for the new Ruger® MKIV™ and MKIV™ 22/45™ pistols, to remove the extractor for changing to an aftermarket extractor and for cleaning.

Handy Little Tool
This 'pistol pal is a great tool to have handy when taking down the Ruger 22/45 MK III. Sure there are other options including the often recommended paper clip or empty shell casing, but one gets more leverage and control with this tool. Also the punch and pin are handy to have close at hand when disassembling the 22/45.

What a fantastic little tool, small in size, easy to carry, tough and well though-out. It’s taken a sometimes difficult task of take-down and re-assembling my Mark II and made it a quick and easy job. For the price everyone who owns a Mark I, II or III should have one. Thanks to gunsmithertools & TK for offering the tool.

handy tool but the shank is too short as flared top will hit rear sights when punching out the mark pistol mainspring housing assembly pin

If you own a Mark III, You've got to have one of these. Take down for cleaning is less of a chore. No more broken finger nails, or scratches on your pistol, and that stubborn mainspring housing pin is no longer a problem. Get one and you'll be glad you did. GREAT PRODUCT!!!!

Very handy
I wish that I had ordered this when first got my 22/55. An incredibly useful tool for dealing with the nightmare that is working on a Ruger .22 Mk series pistol.
