Nice Addition
I finally got my upgraded 10/22 to the range to test out the new additions. The extended release worked well but the magazines were a little tight and did not fall right out. It could be because it is a new gun and needs to loosen up a little or needs some lubrication. Wit this release there is no hunting for the button - it is right there.

Put this release on my wife's competition rifle & she likes it! That's all that really matters.

Bought it
Cool concept but does not work properly on my Ruger 10/22. Mags drop out or come loose just fine when pushing forward on the FireSwitch. Pulling it back, well, there is the rub. It only disengages about 2/3rds of the way needed to drop the mag. Have to pull hard and force the lever up to disengage fully and drop the mag. I have a Pike Arms Trigger group housing. It's CNC machined and very nice. Do not know if that is the big difference in the FireSwitch operation. A major bad point about this item is when the mag is fully seated the FireSwitch lever becomes loose and floppy. Just rattles about in normal mag in position. For me the FireSwitch is not confidence inspiring. Does not work as sold. To rattly loose and has just become a waste of money. Will be removing it and going back to a regular extended style mag release. Sorry but I did try it out. Just didn't work for me. Caveat Emptor.

Competitive shooter
After putting this on my rifle it made getting the mag's out so much easier. Now I can push it back instead of trying to get my finger under it and pull it forward.

Great Upgrade
Added "Fireswitches" on two Brimstone converted Ruger BX Triggers. They work great and are so much easier to work than the extended release that comes stock on the BX Trigger. Release lever works perfectly in either direction. After experimenting a bit, I've decided I'm a push person and not a pull person. One thing to be aware of is that the release lever blocks access to the bolt release from right side. You will need to retrain yourself to use your left hand to lock the bolt back if you've been doing it one-handed in the past. Something to think about if you are right-handed.
