"Eagle's Talon" Extractor for Ruger 10/22 and Charger

At a Glance:

  • Machined from hardened tool steel to last a lifetime
  • Unique positive "hook" design grabs casings securely and surely
  • Reduces failures-to-eject and "stove-pipe" malfunctions

The TANDEMKROSS Eagle’s Talon Extractor for Ruger® 10/22® is a much needed reliability upgrade that replaces the stamped factory provided extractor. Often the factory extractor won’t maintain a secure enough hold on the spent casing as the rifle is cycling and will cause stove-pipes and failure-to-eject malfunctions. Luckily with this simple to install and affordable upgrade, you can greatly improve the reliability of your firearm! TANDEMKROSS Eagle’s Talon Extractor is correctly machined with a positive hook that will grab and secure each round until it needs to be ejected. Eliminate your frustrations at the range with a much better part that will throw your spent cases far away from ever causing another failure-to-eject!

Supported Firearms:

  • Ruger® 10/22® and 22 Charger™ variants
  • 10/22® Carbine
  • 10/22® Target LITE

    So far so good

Posted by Andy Bassham on 17th Jun 2017

Have only ran around 75rds through since swapping out the extractor, but results are better than before. Had 1 stovepipe during the brief shooting that I did. But.. I was using Butler Creek 25rd mags to test with. So throw that into the equation. Zero issues with factory magazines thus far. Its a week old 10-22 that was giving me some stovepipes with at least once every couple of mags (not Butler Creek on those occasions).

    Eagle Claw Extractor

Bought this for a friend's 10/22, but I've used them in my 10/22's for several years, seem to work more dependable than the Ruger factory extractor.almirante chan

    Extraction problems

Used the Eagle Talon extractor in several pistols and it took care of the stovepipe jamming problem, now i keep a couple extra on hand in case another pistol develops that problem.

    no-brainer

I purchased the extractor and spring to 'refresh' my 10/22. this is a simple install and, although I wasn't having extraction problems before, I don't anticipate any in the future thanks to this Eagle Talon. It's run great since installation (about 300 rounds ago).

    Easy upgrade.

Posted by tdrnkr on 4th Dec 2016

I have this on a 22/45 and now on a 10/22. Easy install. Used my gunsmither tool to install and the get the bolt back in. I kept the old for a spare. Just in case.

Well made item for the 10/22

Posted by Richard Ray on 1st Sep 2016

This extractor has a nice crisp claw and overall quality machining and finish. Installation is not difficult for anyone who's had a little exposure to gun assembly. Removing the bolt is a bit more of a job than removal/install of extractor itself. Instructions are easy to follow and the upgrade is worth the effort.
