Eagle talon extractor
Out of the box, using Winchester 40 grain jacketed ammo, I would have one stovepipe for roughly every 15 shots. Installed this (difficult, but possible to do without the special bolt tool that tandemkross has available) and fired 100 rounds with no issues. Although I was able to install without the special tool, I did order the tool later to make maintenance easier in the future. Note that the stove pipes prior to installation were difficult to clear with the factory bolt release plate. I highly recommend also installing the tandemkross guardian bolt release plate at the same time. Will make your checking, clearing, shooting enjoyment,, and maintenance easier.

Eagle Talon Extractor
Replaced the extractor on my 10/22 carbine and added the new Eagle’s Talon Extractor. It was a night and day difference I shot over 200 rounds and every 22LR shell was ejected Perfectly. I highly recommend this product 100% you will not be sorry that you added this product to your 10/22.

Excellent
Truly excellent part. It stopped my stovepipes and failures to eject in my 10 22 carbine. The difference is surprising. If you have any failure to eject problems in your 10 22, this is for you. BTW, it is still functioning like the day I installed it hundreds of rounds later.

Best upgrade for the 10/22!
I love the 10/22 platform, but the extractor on it (and the 22/45) is junk. The only ammo I could get to fire somewhat reliably was Remington Thunderbolt, which is filthy dirty. Even that has about a 5-10% FTE/stovepipe chance. I couldn't even think about using Federal. After installing the Talon, I shot 200rds of Federal without a single FTE. I almost cannot believe it. I have the same issue with my 22/45 Mark IV, so I'll be getting the Talon for that as well. Great job, TK!

I would recommend this extractor for the 10/22, I had zero malfunctions when I took it out a couple days ago.
