It is very easy to strip the screws. The magazine is plastic and the screws are blunt.

Great product! I bought this mainly for my 9yr old son because he was having some difficulty inserting the mags. I think I ended up appreciating them more then him.

Magazine Bumper
Installed this item on my magazine and have had one range session with it. Works as advertised and is a great addition to my 10/22. I read some of the gripes prior to ordering but so far they seem wide of the mark. My guess is that lack of care in installation is the cause of some of the problems. Its not hard but after installing it I can see where sloppy threading of the screws could result in less than adequate attachment to the magazine. Holding everything tight and square while tightening each screw a little at a time until all were tight has so far worked well and resulted in a very solid attachment. My shooting partner was impressed with the part and since I only have 1 10-round mag, I gave him the other one. If you don't hear from me again, all continues to be satisfactory with this part. Nicely done Tandemkross.

"Companion" Magazine Bumper for Ruger® 10/22® (2-PACK)
Ingenious attachment for Ruger 10/9 round mags. Sometimes, especially with after-market stocks, they are difficult to remove. This bumper solves the problem. At first, a bit tricky to get attached correctly, but the learning curve is over after one in on. Work well, well made, not unreasonably priced.

A welcome improvement
These mag bases are well made, functional and are easy to install. Definitely enhance operation of inserting and removing mags in your 10/22. Green light on these ladies & gentlemen.

10/22 Mag Bumper
These things are so nice! Easy to install, easy to use and OMG what a difference. Think they're expensive...wait till your mag drops during a rimfire challenge shoot. Yeah...you need 'em.
