Walther P22 +5 Wingman Basepad Installation Instructions

At a glance:

  • Increase your magazine size by 5
  • Better magazine seating
  • Extends bottom of magazine for better grip, better control

The Wingman +5 Magazine Bumpers for Walther® P22® are made of nearly indestructible Zytel®. These finely made magazine bumpers are designed to enable your factory magazines to load five extra rounds! These bumpers extend the bottom of the magazine to allow for better grip and better handling which always results in better accuracy. Even more importantly, they help with seating magazines securely into the pistol frame by providing extra material to "bump" them into a locked state.

From competition shooters to casual backyard plinkers, everyone can benefit from a two-pack of these simple to install upgrades. Don't load less ammo, load more with the TANDEMKROSS magazine bumpers!

IMPORTANT: Installing the bumper removes the magazine follower button so the last round hold open feature will be disabled.

It installed fine the added gip is nice. I left the button on for easy loading so it will only hold 10 rounds. But it looks cool!

use of wing man with load assist

Posted by joe on 15th Aug 2019

You can install the wing man and leave the load assist button in. This does two things. 1. it allows your firearm to lock open after the last round. 2. it gives you an extended grip if you have overly large hands. This is not my discovery. I saw it on Youtube. It should be available there.

I use it as a grip extension only

Posted by vladimir on 9th Jul 2019

this is so much better than competing product from Makershot. I would make a product, that is just for extending the grip. Without changing the capacity. We don't need it in CA communist state. But folks with a large hand would be happy to buy it. The good thing it can be taken apart, unlike Makershot it's a one time deal, breaks easy if you try to dismantle. With this one you need to leave the follower pin in the mag to skip the 15 round increase.

A+ based on short time I've used them

    Posted by M on 11th Oct 2018

Works as advertised. Zero jams or misfeeds. Makes grip much easier for my hand to hold onto compared to stock magazine. For me this is a no-brainer as it improves the grip, adds 50% more magazine capacity, and no loss in reliability. This is based on about a month's use so time will tell if the springs hold up in the long term but based on my use so far this product is a no-brainer.

Easy and straight forward modification. It gives you more room on the stock to put that dangling little finger. Very comfortable.

The Wingman +5 for my P22 is a must have, makes a day at the range more shooting than loading. They look great and work great.

    Tandemkross Walther P22 "Wingman

Posted by Todd on 6th Mar 2018

Not what I expected, could not get more that 13 rounds in after intsall, I shouldn't have to sand the parts to make it work. Plus the grip design for pinky finger is not comfortable.
