"Titan" Extended Magazine Release for Ruger® MKII™ 22/45™, MKIII™ 22/45™, MKIV™ 22/45™

At a Glance:

  • Taller, wider magazine release button;  great for juniors or shooters with smaller hands
  • Includes two styles: high and low profile; perfect for customization!
  • Easy to install, no permanent modifications

The Ruger® Mark IV™ 22/45™ is popular among shooting sports competitors and weekend plinkers, but for young shooters or other shooters with smaller hands, reaching the magazine release button without changing hand position can be a challenge.

The TANDEMKROSS Titan Extended Magazine Release for Ruger® Mark IV™ 22/45™ is a simple, drop-in replacement for the smaller factory magazine release, and offers significantly more surface area and height to boost the consistency and speed of magazine changes. Competing with an older 22/45™ pistol? The Titan is also compatible with the Ruger® Mark III™ 22/45™ and Mark II™ 22/45™!

The Titan Extended Magazine Release comes with two release button styles for a truly custom fit. The round button style is taller and slightly wider than the factory magazine release button, but still low profile enough for shooters with larger hands. Whichever your choice, the high and low profile options offer the ultimate customization choice for your firearm!

The Ruger® Mark IV™ 22/45™ magazine release buttons are available in black, red, or silver for further customization. Both high and low profile options are made of aluminum for long lasting durability.

    Extended Magazine Release

Posted by David on 14th Feb 2022

This is exactly what I needed after I installed target grips for my Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite. I also needed and installed extra spacers to help clear the grips.

    MkIV Target extended mag release

Posted by Paul west on 14th Jan 2022

Just bought a MKIV Target. Was going to install an extended mag release but the the factory release doesn t have the screw holding it in. Appears to be held in some other way, it has no screw slot and looks like maybe a roll pin is holding it in. How can I remove it and install the extended mag release?

    Perfect Fit

Posted by Ryan on 30th Nov 2021

This is a perfect fit on my 22/45 lite and the red matches the gun. I have the wooden grips from Ruger, so I had to make the cut out for the extended safety larger with a dremel but I knew that would happen. Still an awesome addition and I highly recommend it. Super easy install

This is well worth the money. Be sure to keep an eye on the mag release spring & detent. Im pretty sure this will work with any grips you choose.

    Extended mag release

Posted by Paul on 18th Nov 2021

The paddle is great, dont have to move my grip. BUT. 2 things. 1. Dont screw in the nut too hard because the other side holding the actual mag release is plastic and you will widen it a bit. 2. Soon as I installed this my magazines with the tk +1 mag bumpers wouldnt seat. You have to file down or shave the top front of those mag bumpers. So theres definitely some kind of tolerance issue with this combination. Mk3 22/45 lite.

Big improvement over the stock mag release. No need to re-adjust hand position to reach and to drop mags anymore.

Great stuff, everyone who has tried my gun likes it. It really improved the ease and speed of dropping the mag.

Added this along with a set of Hive Grips and mag bumpers to my Ruger Mark IV tactical, liked it so much I repeated the set up as a gift for my brother who has a Mark IV Lite22/45.

    Extended magazine release

Posted by Fredi on 30th Dec 2020

Great improvement over stock button. I find the paddle style more suitable for my hand. Magazine drop real quick and easy with the paddle style for me. Removing the stock release and installing the extended one can be a little tricky though. Just be patience. Great product.
