Machined from billet aluminum and with black Cerakote finish, the new Ruger® MKIV™ Thumb Rest from Striplin Custom requires no permanent modification to the gun’s frame and installs in minutes. The thumb ledge offers ideal thumb placement for a secure two-handed grip and provides consistent hand positioning and helps to control muzzle rise. The thumb rest also includes a new trigger pin and front lug screw.

Thumbrest

This is really easy to install. I tried it at the plate match and loved it. Very comfortable for my thumb to rest on the thumbrest.

Right Location

Thumb rest position is exactly where my left thumb was. Now it gives me a more solid feel. Along with the TK extended safety they make my Ruger Mark IV 22/45 target feel like my CZShadow 2. Ideal for Steel Challenge.

Striplin Thumb Rest

This is a really neat accessory. When I shoot a Mark IV, I have a problem where the base of my left (suppport) hand thumb comes into contact with the bolt release lever. This device not only gives my thumb a natural resting point, it keeps the base of my thumb off the bolt release by moving it away from the gun itself.

The thumb rest provides an excellent platform to aid in keeping the weapon on target for very fast repeat shots.

When combined with the cornerstone ledge safety, this thumb rest greatly improved the stability and steadiness of my grip . My shooting improved immediately as it aids in consistency of grip and accuracy.

Product is made great. Installation is easier then easy. Personally I just couldn’t get use to it, but that’s just me. Still will give it 5 stars
