Steel Hammer Bushing for Mark III and 22/45 Pistols

At a glance:
  • Magazines will slip right out
  • Easier takedown and cleaning
  • Can reduce failure to feeds
  • Comes with colored installation instructions

This high quality 304 stainless steel bushing is made for high duty cycle shooting and replaces the Ruger® factory bushing allowing you to safely remove the magazine disconnect from the firearm. There are instructions on the internet showing the use of washers and other parts, but this is unreliable and unsafe! Use an actual part that is designed for the job. This bushing lets the hammer move properly and at the correct speed. You will be pleased with the fit and final result with this bushing. If you know how to clean this gun you can easily remove the disconnect. Removing the disconnect allows the magazines to fall free, allows them to seat properly and does allow the gun to fire with the magazine out for tactical competition and self-defense scenarios. Check to see if your state requires the magazine disconnect installed if the firearm is ever resold.

*** ATTN: FAQ: Will this bushing work in my Volquartsen Hammer? YES. The bushing and VQ hammer will work together. However, it can be a tight fit to get them together. Please let us know if you are experiencing trouble and we will get you a bushing that will fit into the tighter VQ hammer.

Very well made product AND great installation video. Put one in my Mk III 22/45 Target and one in my Mk III 22/45 Lite.............both work like a charm. Mags drop free, seat MUCH easier, and reassembly no longer entails the "mag in and out" process.

For those with limited gun smithing experience the instructional videos and written instructions are flawless. Ease of installation was was a 10 on a scale 1 >10 with 10 easiest. Performance was suburb and as advertised. Extremely happy with the Product

    Real Quality!

Beautifully machined part. Fits perfectly. The online video is a real bonus. I'm not too familiar with my .22/.45 yet, but the video talked me through the installation with no problem. Mag now flies out the way I want. Thanks!

    Magazine Disconnect Bushing

Easy to install, and now my Mark III 22/45 magazines drop right out. I recommend this upgrade. But I saved the original part to reinstall if I ever sell or trade to gun.

Great product and high quality. Worked as advertised in my MarkIII Hunter and was perfectly compatable with the Valquartzen accurazing kits new MKIii. Video made install effortless!

    Love the Tandemkross Bushing!

I've installed TK bushings in five Mark III 22/45 pistols. Trigger pull was improved and, of course, I like having the magazine eject as it should. Had no installation trouble at all; bushings dropped right in with no fitting and performed perfectly in all five installations.

    Best part ever

Posted by Matt on 17th Nov 2013

Rarely in firearms does such an affordable and available part make such a huge dramatic difference in the weapon. This is "must-have" equipment if you own a MkIII. It is perhaps the single greatest part I've ever purchased for any gun. No more problems with sticky magazines and lawyer-made extra parts.

Something Ruger should have done in the first place. Running these in all my MKIII 22/45's now. Bought them for Christmas gifts as I don't want my friends to go without.
