Not only does the Mil-spec picatinny design allow for more precise and customized placement of optics, it is the perfect length and doesn’t have an unsightly overhang over the barrel. The underside of the rail has a relieved ejection port area to provide a sure ejection of spent brass. This rail can be used with both fixed and adjustable iron sights in place. This gives you the option of removing your scope or red dot and using the iron sights without removing the rail. I wanted a shorter rail for my lite to clean up the look, this was easy to install, and the cutout made using the irons easier with the optic off.

Just bought a new mk4 for steel challenge competition, at my age eyesight is less than 20/20 and red dots are helpful ,this rail is custom made for the model of gun and you can count on screw holes to line up perfectly to mount solidly

Perfection
Installed the Shadow Picatinny rail on my new Ruger Mark IV target pistol and was impressed with the fit. Also no need to run out and purchase loctite for the supplied screws because the screws already had the thread adhesive on them. Excellent product and shipping/delivery was great. Solid Red Pic Rail
Fit perfectly on my Ruger Mark III Target and the red really adds a color of pop to the classic look with the Red Ruger logos in the handle. I have yet to mount an optic as I am currently deciding what to mount. I fit a TRS-25 and a cheap Chinese Eotech clone on it just to test the mount and they both mounted to the rail solidly with no wiggle. Can't wait to take it to the range and try it out once I decide which way to go.
