Limitations to Know Before You Buy
- Three hole layout required: The mount fits Ruger® Mark™ Series models with the standard three hole layout. It does not fit model 40179 or vent rib models such as 43949. Check your model number before ordering.
- Optic footprint must be confirmed: The mount supports many popular optics from Vortex Optics®, Burris®, Trijicon®, Swampfox Optics, Holosun, and others, but not every footprint on the market. Use the compatibility chart linked on the product page to confirm your specific optic before ordering.
- Use a thread locker: The mounting screws should be installed with a thread locker and torqued carefully. Owners may experience screws backing out under repeated shooting when installed without thread locker, and over torquing small fasteners can strip the head of the screw.
- Division implications: When shooting in competitions like SASP, Rimfire Challenge, Steel Challenge, Metal Madness, or others, adding an optic can change which division your pistol is eligible for use within. Be sure to reference the rules of your particular league or range before making the decision to install an optic.

The requirement is the standard three hole layout on top of the receiver. The Silencer Shop exclusive models (40179, 40181, 40182) and vent rib models such as 43949 are exceptions as they feature different hole patterns and are not compatible.

Shadow 3.0 optic mount Ruger 22 45 Lite
Nice product, mounted a Vortex Viper onto my Ruger 22 45 lite. Zero instructions except online video which was okay. Lots of parts come with it, with no explanation of what goes where. It would have been better with some enclosed info. Right off the bat stating this set up wont Co Witness like most optics will do on a pistol. Figured out which screws and dowls to use. Im not a gunsmith but have been doing trigger jobs, stock and grip adjustments,.optics instals on shotguns, pistols, rifles, built race cars and boats most of my post puberty life. I figured it out. Id hate to be a first time user doing this.

needs better hardware
Screws could be longer, and better steel. Used blue loctite and have had this come loose twice, used green this time,, but allens stripped trying to get some torque on them,, we shall see if it holds. COmes loose again, I will pull it and go to the factory rail that has 3 screws,, Really no reason this mount couldnt have been made a bit longer to add the third screw hole.. Look at the pictures.

Ruger Mk 3 Low Profile mount
Bought a plastic one and the threads stripped out with minimal torque. My 2nd choice was the metal TK version. Mounted to receiver easily. The Vortex red dot was not a perfect fit, but very close. Glad I bought this one. Wished I passed on the plastic low profile from a different company.
