  • Stainless steel guide rod replaces plastic guide in factory SR22®
  • Captured double spring makes installation easy
  • This part works on both the 3" and 4.5" barrels of the Ruger® SR22®
*Now featuring a new and improved double spring for increased force & performance!* The TANDEMKROSS "Sentinel" Stainless Steel Captured Spring Guide Rod is an excellent upgrade for your Ruger® SR22®. The guide rod is made of stainless steel to last a lifetime and the improved spring is stronger and 'captured' so it is easier to install and won't get lost.

Best of all, the TANDEMKROSS Captured Spring Rod has smooth stainless steel polished "nose" on it -- no unsightly screw like other brands. By replacing your factory guide rod with the TANDEMKROSS Captured spring rod, you will see less up and down movement of the slide as it is stiffer than the plastic factory rod.

This is a simple drop-in replacement that will improve the performance of your Ruger® SR22®.

As with all TANDEMKROSS products, the SR22® captured spring comes with a lifetime guarantee.

This a great addition to my SR22. The pistol action feels real smooth and I do believe it has improved it's performance at the range. It's a great buy.

    a little work

loaded this rod into the gun and just while installing the slide, there was enough compression to weaken the spring till the slide was super loose. obviously not enough of a spring steel spring as i could stretch and collapse it super easily. ended up cutting two coils off the stock spring and its tight works well and keeps the slide locked back well. maybe ive missed something but im fairly certain the spring should compress and not stay compressed.

    Excellent upgrade!

I was having feed issues on a Ruger SR22 and posted the problem on Rimfire Central. A member suggested this spring and rod. Problem is solved. The gun also shoots more accurately and just feels smoother. It is also much easier to clean.

Captured spring works great! Stainless stell rod peeking out of the front of the pistol is definitely cooler than black polymer!

It did not have spring power long enough. Mine has the 4+inch barrel and it barly had enough power to dent the cartridge. I think I got the wrong item even though I stated the barrel size. If I get the right product I'm sure it will work fine.

    Poor QC?

Posted by Jeff on 4th May 2017

I was really looking forward to this upgrade. Once installed my Ruger would not cycle rounds consistantly. On closer inspection the spring on the rod did not go completely from end to end. This left the Ruger slide with a very sloppy 1/4" play. Obviously the slide would not hold tight against the chambered round- sometimes firing, sometimes nothing but a click of the firing pin. When requesting a return TK expected me to pay for return shipping. How is that standing behind your product? How is that "Being a Leader In Customer Service"? as their literature states? I'm pretty disappointed in TK as a company.
