The TANDEMKROSS Sentinel Captured Spring Rod for the Walther® P22® is an excellent upgrade for your Walther® pistol. The Walther® factory spring is extra long and extends past the spring guide rod. This design requires a special tool to reinstall and makes cleaning your P22® a challenge. The TANDEMKROSS stainless steel guide rod for the Walther® P22® features a captured spring, doing away with the need for any special equipment and making your firearm maintenance simple.
Because the spring is captured, the TANDEMKROSS Sentinel Spring Rod also returns the P22® slide to the same position every time, reducing up and down movement of the slide and improving accuracy.

Captured Spring Review for P22
Purchased this Captured Spring by Tandemcross for my Walther P22 after realizing the version I bought came with the old un-captured spring and kept jamming on me. I purchased the gun in June of 2021 to plink around since the cost of ammo has gone through the roof and thought I would be getting the updated P22 with the captured spring that I saw in a YouTube video on the firearm. After taking the gun to the range for the first time and having constant jamming issues, I thought I'd take it apart to oil it a little and found I had the old uncaptured spring. Argued with the store I bought it from and said, the hell with them, I'll never walk in there again and found Tandemcross. This product made a world of difference. I shot about 100 rounds with the new captured spring and so far 100% cycle rate using various .22 ammo. Highly recommend this if your P22 still has the uncaptured spring. I still will never rely on my P22 as an everyday carry because of all the issues I initially had but at least I'm having fun plinking around with it now.

Fixes the problem with P22
This guide rod was the first upgrade to my Walther P22 which fixed the recoil problem. The 2nd upgrade you need is a better extraction arm to eject spent cartridges. Now you have a semi-auto shooter.

This product was an absolute game changer for my P22. Prior to finding this I seriously considered getting rid of the gun because it was such a PITA to clean. The captive guide rod and spring has made all the difference in the world. I would definitely recommend it and would buy it again.
