The TANDEMKROSS Sentinel Captured Spring Rod for the Walther® P22® is an excellent upgrade for your Walther® pistol. The Walther® factory spring is extra long and extends past the spring guide rod. This design requires a special tool to reinstall and makes cleaning your P22® a challenge. The TANDEMKROSS stainless steel guide rod for the Walther® P22® features a captured spring, doing away with the need for any special equipment and making your firearm maintenance simple.
Because the spring is captured, the TANDEMKROSS Sentinel Spring Rod also returns the P22® slide to the same position every time, reducing up and down movement of the slide and improving accuracy.

Spring rod
Had a little trouble with shipping, which was fixed in a very quick and professional manner so kudos to Tandemkross! Rod was a big blessing compared to the stock spring rod! 100% recommend!

Excellent upgrade. Walther should have these in springs in their pistols from day one. Easy to install and is soooo much easier to re-assemble the gun.

The best ever
This made all the difference for me with my Walther P22. I was having problems with re assembly after cleaning my gun. I think I was bending the recoil spring just a little. This took care of the problem and my weapon no longer jams at the range. I love it. A weapon that is unreliable is not worth much. Thanks for such a great product.

Frustration abated!
I have no idea why the Walther did design it like this in the first place. I hated cleaning my P22 because of that darn spring. Nothing like holding onto a compressed spring after oiling the firearm. honestly, the first range day was rough. I had a lot of partial cycles. After taking it home, oiling it well and reassembling, range day two was 90% better. Day three and beyond was perfect. So happy to have this little guy.

a MUST HAVE for any P22 owners
Without this great innovation I would have returned my P22 to the store. It was impossible to get back together and even the gun store had a difficult time showing me that it could be done. I purchased this which makes owning the gun a pleasure. Its a required must-have if you own a p22.

A perfect upgrade!
I have no idea why Walther doesn t make a captured recoil guide/spring standard- it truly makes reassembly a snap and improves overall feel of the slide movement. It is probably the best $20 upgrade for your P22 and should last for a long time.

Captured guide spring and rod.
This captured spring and guide rod assembly makes cleaning so much easier. The P22 has always been a pleasure to shoot but cleaning with the factory guide rod/spring was a real pain. This makes it so much easier.

Ejection Issues
Well, this replacement spring did not fix all my ejection issues. My Walther P22 only likes Blazer ammo so far, but this replacement spring did make reassembling my gun after cleaning much easier. Not sure why this spring style isn't standard already, but glad I found it.
