The TANDEMKROSS Sentinel Captured Spring Rod for the Walther® P22® is an excellent upgrade for your Walther® pistol. The Walther® factory spring is extra long and extends past the spring guide rod. This design requires a special tool to reinstall and makes cleaning your P22® a challenge. The TANDEMKROSS stainless steel guide rod for the Walther® P22® features a captured spring, doing away with the need for any special equipment and making your firearm maintenance simple.
Because the spring is captured, the TANDEMKROSS Sentinel Spring Rod also returns the P22® slide to the same position every time, reducing up and down movement of the slide and improving accuracy.

this is a must have if you have an older walther p22. if you do have an older model p22 then you know its a pain in the butt to get the spring back in, but not this one!!! you will want to clean your gun more when you upgrade you p22 with this sprimg.

Improves reliability
Purchased this to make disassembly and reassembly easier. Also with the stock spring and guide rod as two separate units,there would be some drag if things weren't lined up causing jams. This improved function massively.

Just what I needed
I saw on YouTube a review for the new and improved P22 that had a Captured Spring Guide Rod. So I called Walther asking for the price on the part. I was told that there are 3 models of P22. 1) P22, 2) P22CA, 3) P22QD. I have the P22CA for California. The Captured Spring Guide Rod was only made for the P22QD Model What The Hell? So I asked if the QD Rod would fit in the CA model, Walther said yes it's on their website for $129. Hahaha LOL No Thanks. I bought the TandenKross one it fits like a charm.

such great improvement over the factory setup on the P22, now take down and re-assembly is so much easier. Have not shot the P22 this year due to weather,but I,m sure it will perform as well or better than before.
