The TANDEMKROSS Sentinel Captured Spring Rod for the Walther® P22® is an excellent upgrade for your Walther® pistol. The Walther® factory spring is extra long and extends past the spring guide rod. This design requires a special tool to reinstall and makes cleaning your P22® a challenge. The TANDEMKROSS stainless steel guide rod for the Walther® P22® features a captured spring, doing away with the need for any special equipment and making your firearm maintenance simple.
Because the spring is captured, the TANDEMKROSS Sentinel Spring Rod also returns the P22® slide to the same position every time, reducing up and down movement of the slide and improving accuracy.

Captured P22 recoil spring
Over the years I’ve let my little P22 get too dirty too often because of the hassle of the recoil spring. Now, I may clean every time I fire it.

P22 spring and guide rod replacement
I am overall very pleased with the spring and guide rod. It was easy to install and is an excellent replacement for the oddly designed factory set. I had hoped that the new kit would alleviate the pistol's picky nature with respect to ammunition and to a certain degree it has (though I consider that to be a secondary attribute and not the main reason I purchased the kit). Since installation the pistol runs smooth, especially suppressed. I would absolutely purchase this again and recommend everyone with a p22 pick one up and ditch their factory spring and rod.

Dropped in and lined up easily for reassembly. This is light years above the spring and guide rod the pistol comes with. Well worth the money. Buy 2, I did.
