The TANDEMKROSS Sentinel Captured Spring Rod for the Walther® P22® is an excellent upgrade for your Walther® pistol. The Walther® factory spring is extra long and extends past the spring guide rod. This design requires a special tool to reinstall and makes cleaning your P22® a challenge. The TANDEMKROSS stainless steel guide rod for the Walther® P22® features a captured spring, doing away with the need for any special equipment and making your firearm maintenance simple.
Because the spring is captured, the TANDEMKROSS Sentinel Spring Rod also returns the P22® slide to the same position every time, reducing up and down movement of the slide and improving accuracy.

Captured spring guid rod
Received the new guid rod and it was so easy to put in DONT know why walther made the stock one so difficult , I put it in and took to range and it worked flawlessly , much easier to break down and reassemble now. Thanks Tandemcross for making great aftermarket accessories .

P22 spring upgrade
Best $20 I’ve ever spent. My p22 sucked when I first got it. Constantly not fully cycling any ammo. Now I can shoot whatever type of ammo with no issues what so ever, and it makes putting slide back on it is so much easier!

Works perfectly and a lot better than battling with the original spring. Thank you Tandemkross for a perfect fit and operation. Now, please please do the same with the Sig Mosqito guide rod spring. Customer service was very helpful, a pleasure to deal with and the price was perfect.

Great idea, but
I really like the idea behind this product. In practice however, the pistol does not cycle reliably with it installed. When manually operating the slide it is noticeably less smooth with the captured spring guide rod. I put the factory spring back in and the pistol runs smoothly again.

This is honestly the best 20 bucks invested in a firearm. I was about to throw my walther p22 in the trash because of the spring. It was such a chore to get the slide back on after cleaning and we all know how dirty 22lr shoots. Well with this captured spring guide rod it now takes less then 5 minutes to get it back together. Bonus is the slide is even smoother now. 5 stars.
