The TANDEMKROSS Sentinel Captured Spring Rod for the Walther® P22® is an excellent upgrade for your Walther® pistol. The Walther® factory spring is extra long and extends past the spring guide rod. This design requires a special tool to reinstall and makes cleaning your P22® a challenge. The TANDEMKROSS stainless steel guide rod for the Walther® P22® features a captured spring, doing away with the need for any special equipment and making your firearm maintenance simple.
Because the spring is captured, the TANDEMKROSS Sentinel Spring Rod also returns the P22® slide to the same position every time, reducing up and down movement of the slide and improving accuracy.
This drop-in part is one of the best P22® accessories that will improve the performance and simplify the maintenance of your Walther® P22®.
Supported Models:
- Walther® P22®

Walther® P22 "Sentinel" Captured Spring Guide Rod
Excellent quality, works well. Instead of the manufactures separate rod and spring, makes it easier to tear down & reassemble.

Walther® P22 "Sentinel" Captured Spring Guide Rod
I love this product! Makes disassembly/reassembly much easier. (Why didn't Walther think of this in the first place??) I also purchased this product because although it is a great little pistol, I often have a lot of FTF issues on the range, even though I'm using Walther mags and high-velocity .22LR ammo. This product does help reduce the FTF issue, although it has not eliminated it. That being said, I would definitely recommend the purchase of this product to anyone considering it. If nothing else, it will make your cleaning sessions MUCH easier. NOTE: I am not being compensated for this review.

It stopped being funny...
after the first few times my spring keep zinging itself across the room. It didn't take long to find the solution for my P22 with Tandemkross. They have everything! Now, assembly after cleaning is sooo easy.

P22 Sentinel spring guide rod
My grandson's Walther P-22 performed very poorly due to extraction and failure to feed issues. Also, the uncaptured OEM spring was very difficult to reinstall. I read the reviews about the Sentinel and ordered one immediately. It was delivered within one week! Prior to installing the new Sentinel, I carefully polished all sliding surfaces, including the contact points between the hammer and the decocker. Also, I polished the magazine, including the slots and lips. Finally, the P-22 was cleaned and lubricated, then reassembled with the new spring. At the range, using 6 year old ordinary Remington Bucket 22 LR ammo, I fired about 80 rounds without a single failure. WOW! I then cleaned and reassembled the P-22. It took less than 20 seconds to reassemble it because of the captured feature. So, polish, clean, and lubricate you P-22, then install the Sentinel. You will not be disappointed. Peter

Walther P22
I received my 2 new springs 1 day after talking to you, so thank you for that. I love them. The factory should have done this.

Guide rod installation
Having had a Walthers P22 for almost 10 years, and knowing how involved the reassembly was I looked with interest into this conversion rod. I am very anal about cleaning my firearms after each outing, and didn't care for the need of a tool to do what I would consider basic maintenance on this gun. I don't like having to carry specialized tools just to disassemble or reassemble a gun. It's just one more thing to keep track of. So the thought of being able to not need Walthers provided tool looked great. Now I haven't shot it since installing this guide rod. But the only reason my installation took more than a minute is because I have the longer barrel and associated frame extension to remove to get the slide off. So it took maybe? 5 minutes... Once installed, racking of the slide by hand It seemed to function flawless... When I get a chance to run some rounds thru it I'll let you know if I have any issues....
