The TANDEMKROSS Sentinel Captured Spring Rod for the Walther® P22® is an excellent upgrade for your Walther® pistol. The Walther® factory spring is extra long and extends past the spring guide rod. This design requires a special tool to reinstall and makes cleaning your P22® a challenge. The TANDEMKROSS stainless steel guide rod for the Walther® P22® features a captured spring, doing away with the need for any special equipment and making your firearm maintenance simple.
Because the spring is captured, the TANDEMKROSS Sentinel Spring Rod also returns the P22® slide to the same position every time, reducing up and down movement of the slide and improving accuracy.

P22 Captive Spring, YAY!
This is a great looking part that makes the gun reassembly soooo easy! I'm taking it to the range this weekend for a real test drive but I'm very happy so far.

P22 captured spring rod
Just got my Walther P22 for plinking and being its a 2021 CA model it doesn't have the captured spring. This product makes it easier when reassembling your P22. The original spring isn't super hard to get back together however there is always something to be said for ease of use and this product delivers. The quality is good, craftsmanship and fit and finish are high quality. Overall a great product that function's well. There is no noticeable difference in performance between the original spring set up and this captured one, and the performance of the P22 with this product is perfect for a .22. Overall if you have a Walther P22 and want to get rid of that non-captured spring I would 100% recommend this product.

Sentinel guide rod
YEs, Ive used it. I like to show anyone how easy it is to field strip my Walther p22. Now it goes back together like a breeze. It works better that the factory spring and rod.I put that in the trash, cause thats what it was.

Sentinel captured guide rod spring
This captured spring dropped right into my Walther P22 with no problem . The pistol cycles much better with it , fewer FTF , FTE ‘s . Very happy with it and for just $20 , how could one go wrong ?!!!!!1

Great product. Lost original tool but found another method that was a pain. Come 2 think, it was pain with original tool as well.Just drops in place. Functioned flawlessly. Now feel comfortable giving gun to stepdaughter.
