The TANDEMKROSS "Sentinel" Stainless Steel Captured Spring Guide Rod for Walther® P22® is an excellent upgrade for your Walther® pistol. The Walther® factory spring is extra long and extends past the spring guide rod. This design requires a special tool to reinstall and makes cleaning your P22 a challenge. The TANDEMKROSS stainless steel guide rod for the Walther® P22 features a “captured” spring, doing away with the need for any special equipment and making your firearm maintenance simple.
Because the spring is “captured,” the TANDEMKROSS “Sentinel” Spring Rod also returns the P22 slide to the same position every time, reducing up and down movement of the slide and improving accuracy.

Fantastic Product
Been shopping around for a good solution to Walther's terrible design. This arrived quick, was packaged nicely, installed easily, and works perfect. Not sure why this wasn't standard from the factory! Will be ordering more products in the future for sure.

much easier assembly!
the whole point of this captured guide rod is a MUCH easier reassembly process. and that totally works. and the pistol still performs really well. since using it i have had zero failures with 300 rounds of mini-mags and only a couple of FTF or FTE with cheaper ammo. i am very glad i found these guys and hope they keep making more cool products. thanks!

Sentinel captured recoil spring for Walther P-22
Excellent product. Was delivered in a timely manner. I installed it and found out right away how much nicer compared to stock non-capture spring. So far 250+ rounds thought it and ZERO malfunctions gun related. 2-3 total malfunction all ammo related. So far very happy with this spring

This product made assembly after cleaning much easier. I am a bit concerned that the diameter of the guide rod is smaller than the factory guide rod. thank you

This is a great looking part that makes the gun reassembly soooo easy! I'm taking it to the range this weekend for a real test drive but I'm very happy so far.

P22 captured spring rod
Just got my Walther P22 for plinking and being its a 2021 CA model it doesn't have the captured spring. This product makes it easier when reassembling your P22. The original spring isn't super hard to get back together however there is always something to be said for ease of use and this product delivers. The quality is good, craftsmanship and fit and finish are high quality. Overall a great product that function's well. There is no noticeable difference in performance between the original spring set up and this captured one, and the performance of the P22 with this product is perfect for a .22. Overall if you have a Walther P22 and want to get rid of that non-captured spring I would 100% recommend this product.
