The TANDEMKROSS Sentinel Captured Spring Rod for the Walther® P22® is an excellent upgrade for your Walther® pistol. The Walther® factory spring is extra long and extends past the spring guide rod. This design requires a special tool to reinstall and makes cleaning your P22® a challenge. The TANDEMKROSS stainless steel guide rod for the Walther® P22® features a captured spring, doing away with the need for any special equipment and making your firearm maintenance simple.
Because the spring is captured, the TANDEMKROSS Sentinel Spring Rod also returns the P22® slide to the same position every time, reducing up and down movement of the slide and improving accuracy.

Absolute must have
To say that this is an essential upgrade for the P22 is such an understatement. This makes the function, disassembly, and cleaning of the gun drastically easier. It is so worth the money to buy and easy to install. 5 stars falls short of communicating how much I love this product. I also bought the mag extensions and love that upgrade for easier handling! Enjoy!

Walther recoil spring
I was ready to trade my p22 for anything else but now it fun to shoot because it’s now easy to clean. Great product. Now if you could address the sights it would truly be a great gun.

Buy it
If you have spent any time with a p22 you'll have fought that oem spring and capture rod. This makes disassembly and assembly way easier and the new spring brought new life to my tired p22.

Captured Recoil spring
As of 2025 going into 2026 Walther has updated the sloppy recoil spring they once had and made it a captured system like tandemkross came up with, but tandemkross still makes a way higher quality captured spring system, 100% would recommend this and the wingman if you haven’t got it already!

Excellent Upgrade to Original Spring Guide Rod
This is the perfect upgrade to the stock spring & guide rod for the P22. The original spring is so long and difficult to install after a basic taskdown. This upgrade is the perfect fit into P22 and makes reassembly easy again as it should be!

Makes tear-down and re-assembly SO MUCH easier
The stock spring/rod is dumb: it's cheap, and it's a pain in the ass to stick back in after cleaning. Do yourself a HUGE favor and get this. For less than $30, you will not regret it.
