    My son found this and sent me the link. I immediately bought one and installed it in my SR22. True drop in, and 100% reliable. I like having a stainless steel guide rod as opposed to the polymer, and I love that it is a captured spring. Awesome upgrade, and I know of two others that plan on buying one based on my experience.

    So far So good, the extra 1/2 pound does not interfere with cycling. The take down lever is holding up, now with 50 plus rounds through the SR22. Made sense if the take down lever was breaking, it had to much impact on it before.

    I put the new spring rod in and went to the range to try it out. I tried bulk ammo and it would not extract the empty case from the chamber. I could get maybe two rounds out of each magazine to cycle. I switched to CCI Velocitor ammo and it cycled good. So I switched back to the factory rod and it ate any ammo that I fed it. In my opinion, the purpose of a .22 is too be able to eat anything that you give it. So I am sticking with the factory rod.

    This is a must have and a great upgrade for your SR22. I have two of them and beats the plastic stock one by far. Improved reliability and lifetime warranty, how can you go wrong!!

    The captured spring rod seems to reduce the number of FTL issues with my SR22. It most certainly makes takedown and reassembly a lot easier.
