Upriser Chassis for Ruger PC Carbine Installation Instructions

At a Glance:

  • Trigger finger accessible magazine release
  • Compatible with virtually all AR Grips, buffer tubes and butt stocks
  • Comes with optional flared magwell
  • Includes renowned TANDEMKROSS hiveGrip for the AR-15 platform

Rise above the competition with the TANDEMKROSS UPRISER Chassis for the Ruger® PC Carbine® and PC Charger™!

The lightweight reinforced polymer UPRISER chassis is both lightweight and durable while providing a better balance and feel.

Designed with cross-compatibility in mind, the UPRISER Chassis will accommodate virtually all AR grips (with or without “beavertail”) and mil-spec buffer tubes and stocks or braces!

The UPRISER package includes:

  • Extended magazine release
  • Flared magwell (hardware included)
  • "hiveGrip" for AR-15 (hardware included)
  • Stock and grip adapter

Trigger finger extended mag release:
Don’t skip a beat! The unique trigger finger actuated magazine release allows for quick and intuitive magazine release. Simply lift your finger off the trigger and press the release for fast and reliable mag changes.

Flared magwell:
The wide, flared, and beveled design guides the magazine directly into your magwell for faster and consistent mag changes.

hiveGrip for AR-15:
Defined, ergonomic finger grooves improve hand placement for more accurate, controlled shooting while the slim, low-profile design ensures an ideal fit for any user. Made from patented impact- and vibration-dampening material, these hiveGrips are an ideal upgrade for any AR-15. Designed with a hollow grip, the hiveGrip for AR-15 includes a removable O-ring sealed bottom to provide water resistant storage space for tools, extra rounds, or survival items.

Angled Stock and grip adapter: The angled Stock and Grip Adapter is angled at a 12° downward pitch. This is a perfect choice for iron sights or low-mounted optics. When shouldering the rifle, the stocks downward angle brings the sight picture up to your face allowing optics to be mounted closer to the bore axis. This also creates a comfortable and ergonomic cheek weld for quick and natural target acquisition.

Straight Stock and grip adapter: The straight Stock and Grip Adapter matches the more traditional aesthetics and ergonomics of the AR-style buffer tube and buttstock. This is great for anyone looking to use their Ruger® PC Carbine™ or PC Charger™ as a trainer. This is also ideal for anyone who prefers to mount their optics on a riser or who needs their optic mounted higher to allow for use with lasers, IR lights, thermals, or nods.

Don't be left behind! Elevate your performance with the new TANDEMKROSS UPRISER Chassis!

This kit is available in black or red. Your choice of color will change the color of the anodized Stock and Grip Adapter and Trigger Finger Extended Magazine Release. The body of the chassis and hiveGrip come in only black.

Supported Models:

  • Ruger® PC Carbine™ in 9mm
  • Ruger® PC Carbine™ in .40 S&W

No-Brainer enhancement to PC9. Already ordering second “Upriser” for my wife’s PC9. Really improves feel, looks and functionality! Love the Butt-Stock!

    Upriser - Great upgrade

Posted by Ross on 10th May 2021

I purchased the straight version and I'm very happy with it. I purchased it without the grip because I had a Hogue grip already on that I am fond of. The price was right. I used TK's email notification to let me know when it was in stock and had it ordered within 3 minutes of the notification! Very pleased with the setup.

Seriously can’t beat the price for what you get. Other chassis’ on the market will run you more than twice this. Not to mention the compatibility with almost any grip or stock, solid win. The trigger finger mag release was also wayyyyy more functional and practical than I expected. For the money, there’s no other option. This thing is amazing

You may not necessarily NEED the upriser chassis for the PC carbine, but....what the fuck am I talking about? Of course you need the upriser chassis! This chassis, like the Tandemkross slogan suggests, makes a good gun great! Functional design + quality workmanship = one badass result. Go get it (or add your name to the wait list)

    Really good with one nitpick

Posted by Matthew L on 16th Apr 2021

Overall, the whole system is pretty good and I would recommend it. However, there's a significant nitpick. (But can be solved) If you buy the chassis with a grip, there's a good chance that the chassis walls will not run flush against the sides of the included grip. That creates a sharp chassis wall section that actually hurts when your hand rubs up against it. I relayed this concern to CS and they said that it was designed that way to be compatible with the most third party grips. This proved true as when I put on a thicker aftermarket grip, the width of it ran flush with the chassis and the issue of the sharp edge was completely gone. CS completely helped me out and allowed me to return just the grip for a refund. (Awesome CS support) So, I would still recommend the system but not with an included grip. Get a wider topped custom grip. (I got an Ergogrip.) Also, don't use the Titan magazine release with the chassis as it sticks out too far and won't sit right in the chassis. That section has been narrowed to make the stock release button easier to use. Customer Support was most excellent and helped me out with no fuss. They deserve credit otherwise I might have returned the whole thing because of the bad grip interaction.

Awesome product!! For those of you running a Volquartsen trigger on the PC9 you will need to check the fit up at the stock adapter very close. Once I clearanced that, all prefect!!

    Upriser Chassis

I bought the straight chassis for my 1PC Carbine Model 19115. The install video was easy to follow, and only took 25 minutes. Tech Support was also great. I had a question regarding my red dot mounting and how it lined up with the sights on the barrel. The tech was very helpful and knowledgeable. On the range the Chassis performed awesome along with the TK Challneger Charging Handle, and Game Changer Pro Compensator. It was Easy to change mags with the fluted mag well and trigger finger side mag release. Thank You, Scott

    Good upgrade

Posted by David on 28th Mar 2021

The Upriser Chasis made my Ruger PCC handle so much better. At first I thought I'd want the straight model, but that was a mistake. Tandemkross' excellent customer service team swapped the straight adaptor for the angled one at no charge. Even shipped my replacement for free. Thanks guys! The angled setup is perfect and I can bring the rifle up to a perfect cheek weld quickly and repeatedly. The mag release lever does offer a very fast way to release magazines, but I'm still getting used to it being right where I rest my trigger finger when not engaging a target. I saw one review that stated the release system made the chassis unusable for lefties. I disagree. You can still operate the release button on the left of the chassis so it's really an ambidextrous solution. I train shooting both left and right handed and have not had a problem.
