The pull ring charging handle is modeled after our popular halo Charging Ring for Browning Buck Mark and Smith & Wesson® SW22® Victory™, and features a smooth, curved ring for improved leverage and easy charging for all users - whether right- or left-handed. The ambidextrous design also works with a holster.
The halo Charging Ring is an ideal upgrade for competition shooters who may need to charge the pistol or clear a jam quickly. For junior and senior shooters, overcoming the hammer can also be a serious challenge. Made of lightweight, aircraft grade aluminum, the halo Charging Ring for Ruger® Mark IV™ and Ruger® Mark III™ pistols improves grip and leverage for easier charging, without adding extra weight to the back of the pistol or impacting the pistol's action.

Charging ring
Installed fine looks good and seems like it will do what it is designed to do. Have not tested it on the range yet.

Excellent upgrade
I have nearly 1000 rounds through the MK IV since I installed the "Halo" charging ring. This is primarily a practice gun for silhouette and tactical shooting. Helps with trigger control and RDS acquisition practice. I am not a big fan of releasing the slide with the slide release. I typically manually release/return the slide to battery. The huge benefit to the Halo is that it takes this process from a conscious activity that has to be done deliberately to a simple, repeatable motion that can be accomplished solely by muscle memory. Once you've pushed the new magazine home, your hand naturally comes up To the top of the action. Without pause, your hand slides back toward the rear of the pistol and your middle finger drops perfectly into the charging ring. Sounds silly, but the more processes that can be done by muscle memory, the more your brain is freed up to do the things you need it for (Target acquisition, weapon presentation, shot placement and consistency. This simple little device makes the MK IV a joy to shoot and is my second favorite upgrade behind the Victory/Volquartsen drop in trigger mod. Great job guys!

Looks good, works better
My niece had one on her Mark IV. I saw it, used it, and was sold. So easy to use. Installation was super easy. No pinched fingers.

Charging Ring
This was what I needed for this gun, it has transformed it into something I want to practice with on a regular basis. In short it makes this gun much for enjoyable. It is a simple but elegant solution to a problem I did not realize I had.

Terrific idea. I have an old Mark II and have no issues. The MarkIV 22/45 Tactical tends to bite my fingers ever now and then. I installed the halo charging ring and for such a simple device it's amazing what a difference it makes charging or releasing the bolt. Well worth the money. Thank you Tandemkross!
