The pull ring charging handle is modeled after our popular halo Charging Ring for Browning Buck Mark and Smith & Wesson® SW22® Victory™, and features a smooth, curved ring for improved leverage and easy charging for all users - whether right- or left-handed. The ambidextrous design also works with a holster.
The halo Charging Ring is an ideal upgrade for competition shooters who may need to charge the pistol or clear a jam quickly. For junior and senior shooters, overcoming the hammer can also be a serious challenge. Made of lightweight, aircraft grade aluminum, the halo Charging Ring for Ruger® Mark IV™ and Ruger® Mark III™ pistols improves grip and leverage for easier charging, without adding extra weight to the back of the pistol or impacting the pistol's action.

My wife has had multiple cervical surgeries that has left her with pain and weakness making it difficult to rack a slide. The Halo makes it much, much easier and she has no problem handling the Mark IV pistol she uses for target shooting now. Additionally, the machining and finishing is top notch.

My Review
I highly suggest you invest in this “halo” ring. The fit and finish is as good as it gets. Smooth rounded edges and the perfect fit. Easy to install and will last much longer than the plastic ones I have seen. This gets a 10 from me.

perfect addition for older shooters
overhearing my 77 year old mom who shoots league saying she has difficulty gripping the bolt on her Mk III, i ordered this as a Christmas gift. she had a chance to try it out and for her, it hits a walk-off homerun. advising her to use her middle finger instead of her index finger to pull the Halo was an even better improvement for her.
