  • Reduces failures-to-eject and “stove-pipe” malfunctions

The TANDEMKROSS Eagle’s Talon Extractor for Ruger® MK™ Series is a much needed reliability upgrade that replaces the stamped factory provided extractor.  Often the factory extractor won't maintain a secure enough hold on the spent casing as the pistol is cycling and will case stove-pipes and failures-to-eject malfunctions.  Luckily with this simple to install and affordable upgrade, you can greatly improve the reliability of your firearm!  TANDEMKROSS "Eagle's Talon" Extractor is correctly machined with a positive hook that will grab and secure each round until it needs to be ejected.  Eliminate your frustrations at the range with a much better part that will throw your spent cases far away from ever causing another failure-to-eject!

    Eagle’s Talon

This is an absolute must have for the Ruger MK pistol. This combined with the Fire Starter firing pin is basically a cure all for FTF, FTE as long as you are using decent bulk pack ammo or better. Both items installed in under five minutes using a small paperclip.

I was having issues with the stock extractor, I replaced it with this one, and it has some issues every once in awhile. I am going to clean mags and try different brands of ammo to see what the issue is. It has reduced extraction issues though.

    so far not one FTE

Some Mark 111 and Mark1Vs eat ammo and never complain, some don't and mine was one of those. We smoothed all the mags, took out the ejector, sharpened and smoothed to no avail. Sending back to Ruger was not an option as it would just come back with a factory ejector. The Eagles Talon has not missed a beat in my first 200 rounds of CCI mini mag 1260 fps ammo, same as I used before. It makes shooting so much more friendly and no alibis when shooting Bulls eye competition. The best $10.00 I ever spent.

Installed this extractor in my Ruger MklV Hunter, according to the procedures that were sent. Had a bit of difficulty getting the original out, but finally succeeded. Test fired with two different very old ammos. "Fed Gold Medal Target" and "PMC Scoremaster". The PMC ran perfectly but the Gold Medal had multiple failures to extract, completely. I could feel a distinct difference in the recoil of the two loads with the GM being very weak. Suspect bad ammo but will have to do more testing to confirm.
