TANDEMKROSS’s family of Cornerstones is growing! Introducing the Cornerstone Rotary Safety for Ruger® 10/22®.

Cross bolt safeties—otherwise known as push-button safeties—are nothing new and are easy to use. That doesn’t mean they can’t be improved. To activate the factory push-button safety, the operator just pushes the button one direction or the other to toggle between SAFE and FIRE. While not difficult to do, there are two key things that could be improved upon.

Firstly, depending on what side of the firearm you are standing on, the only person who can visually confirm the SAFE or FIRE state of the firearm is the user. Secondly, regardless of whether you are left-handed or right-handed, you must break your grip at least once to bring the firearm from a state of SAFE or FIRE to the other and back.

An ambidextrous rotary safety addresses both of these primary concerns with a single upgrade! A safety selector with levers on both sides of the firearm visibly shows a clear difference between SAFE and FIRE to the user and those standing nearby. The RSOs at your local range and matches are sure to love you for it. Plus, you can now toggle between SAFE and FIRE while maintaining a positive grip on the firearm with your shooting hand; right-handed or left-handed!

Additionally, a toggle-style safety selector reduces the possibility of an accidental button push. Resting your firearm on an uneven surface could potentially switch a cross bolt safety from the intended SAFE or FIRE position to its unintended opposite. A rotary safety reinforces that any change in the firearm’s state must be intentional and thus helps make it safer.

Cornerstone Safeties have been wildly popular for the Ruger® Mark IV™ and Mark IV™ 22/45™ and are now also available for the PC Carbine™ and PC Charger™. The Cornerstone Rotary Safety for Ruger® 10/22® was once only available when installed in the Manticore Trigger Assembly, but it can be yours today!

You and your firearm both deserve an upgrade that makes your life easier. Grab an ambidextrous Cornerstone Rotary Safety for Ruger® 10/22® and make your good gun great!

Are you looking for a way to simplify the install of your Cornerstone? Then you should grab the Gunsmither™ Safety Tool for Ruger® 10/22®!

IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY NOTE: TANDEMKROSS’s Cornerstone Rotary Safety is only compatible with factory Ruger® 10/22® or 22 Charger™ polymer trigger housings (standard and BX).

    Great product, better service

Posted by Andrew Taylor on 11th Jan 2024

Cannot recommend Tandemkross products enough. Their products greatly improved my enjoyment of the Ruger 10/22, so much so that I ordered a few upgrades for my new PC Carbine. 4 of 5 went in without issue thanks to their how-to videos on YouTube, but I botched the safety install, which damaged the safety detent spring to the point of no return. I called them up, and they shipped out 2 replacement springs and plungers, which was unable to find available anywhere else. Safety install went off without a hitch on the 10/22. Great product, even better customer support!

    Cornerstone Rotary Safety

This safety was so easy to install; I didn t even breakdown the Ruger at all. Pre-assembled the new safety as shown in the superb installation video, aligned everything and pushed! Add the right lever and I was done! BTW, unlike a competing company, TandemKross makes their levers from 7075 aluminum, not a polymer that has had breakage issues! Outstanding product and quality from TandemKross! I really wish I hadn t bought the other guy's safety for my other 10/22 first (and it cost more, too!)

    Rotary safety switch

Love it. Will be purchasing another later on for a future build. I only used the right side lever and put a beauty washer on the left side and it looks and works great. I chose the BLACK levers. I would recommend this lever to anyone who is a nut over the greatest 22lr semi auto rifle ever made!!

    Very handy

I should mention that I now have four of them installed, and ordered two red and two black. I use the black levers on the right side because I wanted something different. Very well made, thanks.

This is a great ambience solution! Easy to install and good machine work. My original order was lost in transit. One quick call and a new order was on the way. Great customer service. I will do future business with Tandemcross!

    Good Upgrade

Not quite as smooth as the PC carbine variant as far as engagement goes. Not sure why it's so different when both trigger housings are polymer, although my PCC safety has always felt much smoother and more "springy" between safe and fire. So if you're expecting to improve that aspect, it won't necessarily. Otherwise, it's a good improvement on manual of arms over the cross bolt, as well as noise reduction of engagement if you're a hunter trying to stay as quiet as possible; a subtle click as opposed to the dull thunk of the normal safety. Only downside is that you have to remove the paddles to remove the receiver from the stock. Be careful with the install, I almost couldn't get my safety plunger and spring back in the housing because I'm a dingbat.

Very easy and works well. Just make sure you follow the instructions exactly, or you will have a mess.
