Cross bolt safeties—otherwise known as push-button safeties—are nothing new and are easy to use. That doesn’t mean they can’t be improved. To activate the factory push-button safety, the operator just pushes the button one direction or the other to toggle between SAFE and FIRE. While not difficult to do, there are two key things that could be improved upon.
Firstly, depending on what side of the firearm you are standing on, the only person who can visually confirm the SAFE or FIRE state of the firearm is the user. Secondly, regardless of whether you are left-handed or right-handed, you must break your grip at least once to bring the firearm from a state of SAFE or FIRE to the other and back.
An ambidextrous rotary safety addresses both of these primary concerns with a single upgrade! A safety selector with levers on both sides of the firearm visibly shows a clear difference between SAFE and FIRE to the user and those standing nearby. The RSOs at your local range and matches are sure to love you for it. Plus, you can now toggle between SAFE and FIRE while maintaining a positive grip on the firearm with your shooting hand; right-handed or left-handed!
Additionally, a toggle-style safety selector reduces the possibility of an accidental button push. Resting your firearm on an uneven surface could potentially switch a cross bolt safety from the intended SAFE or FIRE position to its unintended opposite. A rotary safety reinforces that any change in the firearm’s state must be intentional and thus helps make it safer.

So unnecessary but so great.
This thing is pricey but I would say worth it. I also have one on my Ruger PC Carbine because they are great. It’s in an easy place to flip off and then safety on when you are done shooting. As a bonus, if you are shooting someplace with a range master, it’s super easy to show you gun is on safe.

Rotary Safety
I like this addition to my 10-22. Was easy to install & works great. No question as to whether the safety is on or off. Great for the kids while plinkering. Watch the installation video on the TK site before & during installing. It has valuable info in it.

Victory trigger
Never thought I’d like a flat trigger until I got the kit on my 10/22.. so much so I ordered this one for my tx22 competition. Already love the feel of this thing, and the install was pretty easy!

Rotary Safety
This is hands down the best mod that ever one with a Ruger 10 22 should have. My hands are old and don't work as well and pushing the factory safety sideways was not easy. This one is so fast and easy and you KNOW its on or off, no guess.

Again a great product
I always purchase two of them, one red, and one black. I like having the red on the left to help see it. The other side I can feel it with my fingers. They work very well. And, yes, I have two trigger groups that need them. Thanks for a innovative product.

Cornerstone Rotary Safety for Ruger 10/22
Another very easy install ambidextrous so nice for us left hand shooters. Suggest ordering the 10/22 safety and trigger assembly tool just in case. I didn't need it but was there if I did.

Smooth install, nice functional improvement
So first the good: these get rid of my #1 complaint about cross-bolt safeties: breaking your grip to work them. The install was super easy, and the videos online from TandemKross fantastic. The only bad part is that depending on the stock you have (I have mine in a Tac Driver stock), you may have less clearance to operate it than otherwise. Also - pro-tip, if you have a polymer trigger housing, use the tip of a drill or even a small phillips screwdriver to make a little dimple and put some paint in the dimple to mimic a safety position indicator.

Great visibility
Makes it very easy to see if rifle is on safe. Like that you can engage from either side of rifle. Easy to install.
