Mr.
I installed mine the day it arrive with full anticipation of a quality product when I looked at it. It was simple to install and I immediately went out and test fired it with standard LR and then super subsonic. After 50 rounds of each, I was satisfied that this would be a winner so I went back into my work shop and used Loctite on it. Some people think that is an overkill for a rimfire cartridge rifle, but to each his own. The point is, it proved itself worthy of being made difficult to remove from my rifle - now that tells the whole truth behind how I feel about this charging handle. It is here to say. Thanks for a great product. By the way, over the last month since I installed it, it has flawlessly helped cycle an additional 1,500 rounds through my rifle (.22LR is cheap, what can I say, I like to shoot). I give it a AAA+++.

Longer term review
I initially reviewed as 5 stars out of the box. Shouldn't have done that so quick. I've had it a few weeks now. The handle is extremely difficult to pull back to the point that I don't ever use it. Using it would basically just be a challenge to see if I could do it or not. I'm 42yrs old at 185lbs with no arthritis or medical conditions. A normal person. It just binds up or something maybe. Too many cross angles involved for this to work smooth. The 10/22 sports a JWH bolt and a Kidd charging handle, so the action runs smooth as can be off the bolt. Even with this, it doesn't do anything to help run the Advantage as it should run. With the hammer cocked, its still an absolute bear to pull this thing back. With the action out of the rifle and the bolt out of the action, the thing still binds up. Just moving the assembly alone with no bolt, you can push it inward and it slides well, but pull it in a natural motion and it binds. I still like the height the picatinny rail gives me, but I could have achieved that with just a PC base. In the end, this turned out to be an $80 mistake for me. Despite all of the 5 star reviews, I can't recommend from my experience. Sorry, it looked like a cool design.

Mr.
The advantage charging handle is a great option for the ruger 10/22. I purchased one of these for my daughters speed steel 10/22 and it provides a nice option for clearing jams without the need to switch hands. The product is built well and has so far functioned as advertised.

As advertised
This is a finely machined, smooth operating, functional addition to any Ruger 10/22 rifle.

Nice design
A nice design that worked doubly for me as it gave me about the right height I wanted for a red dot with a medium 30mm ring. For a speed shooting rifle, I didn't want to be way down on the gun like a precision scope, and I also didn't want to be overly high like a co-witness height mount for an AR. The added height of the design coupled with a medium scope ring was the right combo. As for the piece itself, I like being able to work the bolt with the off hand, and also works well when actuating the bolt hold open. Trigger finger on the lever and bring the bolt back with the off hand. The lever obviously takes quite a bit more force to bring back than with just the standard charging handle, but there's not really any way around this when you're working one lever to work another lever opposite of it. We'll see how it holds up over time, but initial impressions are very good.

Really a very good addition to my 10/22. It speeds reloading while maintaining sight picture.

Unique product
Well built and functions smoothly. There is a plastic cap on the pin that contacts the oem charging handle that fell off after about 10 charging cycles. Not sure if it is supposed to stay on or is for shipping purposes but I suspect it is to protect the finish on the oem charging handle. Works just fine with it however. For a right handed shooter this definitely makes operating much easier. Would have given 5 stars except for cap falling off.

Much better ergonomics.
This charging handle is a must have for rimfire competition shooting. The left hand charge gives me the same ergonomics and manual of arms as my AR-15. If you buy this; Make sure you also install the Tandemkross auto bolt-release mechanism as well. The two go together perfectly.
