At a glance:
  • Eliminates pesky C-clip
  • Simplifies maintenance and disassembly
  • Polished stainless steel for smooth cycling
The Browning Buck Mark is a popular rimfire pistol for shooting sports thanks to its reliability and performance. But even a good gun can be made great!

The new Eliminator Recoil Guide Rod for Buck Mark from Striplin Custom Gunworks is an aftermarket replacement for the factory Buck Mark guide rod, eliminating the C-clip used in the factory version that can cause reliability issues in the firearm. This one piece, machined stainless steel guide rod simplifies maintenance assembly and disassembly. The guide rod is made from hardened stainless steel and is polished for smooth cycling.

The Eliminator Buck Mark Recoil Guide Rod works with all Buck Mark pistols and rifles, including pre-2000 Buck Mark firearms. This replaces the guide rod only, and uses the factory spring and buffer. Watch the installation video from Striplin Custom Gunworks above for more features and to install the guide rod into your Buck Mark firearm.

*Please Note* Due to variations in Buck Marks, some light sanding/fitting may be required.

*Fits all Buck Mark models including the Buck Mark Rifle

Great mod for the Buck Mark!

Was pretty easy to install following the video. Had to sand a little of the rod to fit in my new Camper. Makes it easier to disassemble for cleaning now. The slide also runs a bit smoother as well. Best of all don't have to worry about the little clips popping off.

A great piece of kit that enhances the reliability of the Browning Buckmark and removes the necessity of 'c' clips to retain the recoil spring on the guide rod. I've put them in all my Buckmark pistols and a Buckmark .22 LR Carbine for Steel Challenge.

When I opened up my brand new Buckmark the spring shot across the room and the e-clip was off!! A little filing and this guide rod fits perfect!! A great improvement!

I clean my Buck Mark after every use and this rod eliminates the flimsy C clip at the buffer block end making the process much easier. Well worth the money, got one for another club member and highly recommend this upgrade

    Eliminate Buckmark Guidrod

Got tired of sending the c clip to space every time I did a deep clean that I avoided taking the gun apart for several years. I finally began having issues and needed a deep clean. Found this solution for not much more than a few of the c clips without the headache of trying to install a c clip with fat shaky fingers. Took a little bit of filling with the leatherman but once fitted worked flawlessly. I only have about 150 rounds on it but no issues to report so far. Would recommend to anyone with a buckmark.

I had been rather reluctant to take down my Buck Mark but after seeing the video and actually replacing the rod I feel reassured. Range time here is pretty limited due to the virus but can't wait to take the gun out.

    Recoil Guide Rod

Well, I wasn't sure how this was going to work, having the guide rod captured in the slide without the retaining clip, but after installing it, I like that I don't need to mess with that little clip anymore. My Buckmark performs perfectly, I can't state enough that adding this with the other upgrades Tandemkross makes, I can definitely feel the difference on how my pistol performs and shoots. I really enjoy the videos, it's install one on one for dummies, and I couldn't do it with out it!! Thanks Tandemkross!! Keep up the good work

This is absolutely the most useful of all the after-market parts. Just be sure to check the fit, and file off any excess length.
