The Ruger® Mark IV™ 22/45™ has become a favorite rimfire pistol among competitive shooters. The flush surface on the magazine base pads of these 22/45™ pistols can be challenging for competitors, making it harder to consistently seat the magazine properly and causing unnecessary delays.
The TANDEMKROSS Tomahawk Hooked Bumper for Ruger® Mark IV™ 22/45™ (2-pack) offers an oversized, textured Zytel® grip, allowing the user to easily bump the magazine into place for positive, consistent magazine seatings. The curved, hooked Ruger® magazine bumper offers an ideal placement for the user's pinky, boosting control and leverage over the pistol; perfect for shooters with large hands and competition shooters looking for a better grip.
These drop-in Ruger® magazine bumpers attach to the bottom of the factory magazine without any glue or gunsmithing, installing in minutes! This simple Ruger® 22/45™ upgrade is ideal for competitive speed shooters or any Ruger® owner looking to improve the firearm’s reliability.

Tomahawk floor plates for 2245 magazines
They are a little bit different than I thought they were. I thought that maybe it would give me a little more real estate on the bottom of my grip, but actually it’s a little bigger than I thought so it doesn’t come up against my pinky at all anyway. But it does make for a little easier to insert your magazine, and for sure a little more to catch when you release your magazine I saw videos and blogs that said people had trouble installing them because they were too tight. I didn’t have any trouble with that. But you sure wanna make sure you got a hold of that spring it’s a little bit of a learning curve, but after two of them, I got a process down that worked well with a small dental pic to hold the plunger and spring and place while I put the floor plate on. Looking forward to get to the range.

Was a little hard to get started on the mag. but wasn't that much of a problem. Looks great and makes it easier to install and remove the mag from the pistol

Fantastic upgrade!
I wasn't sure if I would like this style of bumper but they look great on my #Tandemized Mark IV Lite race gun. The bumpers are functional in that they allow you to fully seat the magazines in the firearm as well as add additional surface to the bottom of the grip if you need to grip the gun that low. The only draw back I have found is that the magazines have to lay over one another when in the gun bag (like the one offered here on TandemKross) because the bumpers are wide. They still fit and secure under the velcro, just something to keep in mind when loading up to go to the range.

Nice update to the 22/45
Looking for items to trick out my recent 22/45 addition I ran across these bumpers. While the unique form of these caught my eye the function of them while firing the weapon really surprised me. The added hook of the bumper provides for a nice placement of your lower finger on the grip ensuring a consistent placement of your hand while upholstering.

Great Look and Function
The final product looks awesome and also gives the pinky a place to rest while shooting. The only reason I took off a star is because this basically needs a second person to install correctly. There is a manufacturer small circle on it where the pin will lodge into before it hits the right spot. I had another person us a small flat head screwdriver to push the pin down while I slid on the bumper past that point and then had them remove the screwdriver. After that it went on perfectly. Instructions could be a little more clear in this instance. Otherwise great product!
