TANDEMKROSS Titan Extended Magazine Release Installation Instructions for the SW22 Victory

At a Glance:

  • Taller, wider magazine release button; great for juniors or shooters with smaller hands

  • Includes two styles: high and low profile; perfect for customization!

  • Easy to install, no permanent modifications

The Smith & Wesson® SW22 Victory® is a popular rimfire pistol for Rimfire Challenge, Steel Challenge and other shooting sports competitions, and is great for beginner and junior shooters. For other shooters with smaller hands, reaching the magazine release button while shooting can be a challenge. Even shooters with larger hands often struggle to easily and consistently release the magazine when adding thicker grips to their Smith & Wesson® Victory® pistol.

The TANDEMKROSS Titan Extended Magazine Release for SW22 Victory® is a simple, drop-in replacement for the factory magazine release that offers significantly more surface area and height to make magazine changes easy: ideal for competition shooters!

The Titan Extended Magazine Release comes with two styles of magazine release for the ultimate custom fit: a round, textured button that is taller and slightly wider than the factory magazine release button and a low profile button. Install whichever release style works best for you!

The magazine release buttons are available in black, red, or silver to compliment your SW22 Victory®. The Titan is made of aluminum for long lasting durability.

Stop fumbling for your magazine release & make faster, more consistent magazine changes with the TANDEMKROSS Titan Extended Magazine Release for Smith & Wesson® SW22 Victory®.

    Over Kill

It certainly is extended... I wound up using only the attachment point and leaving the tab off... Just personal preference I suppose... Very well made and simple to install...

    That guy.

Well...there is nothing like installing new parts and not getting the chance to thoroughly test them before you get to a match. I picked up the Titan after installing the Hive grip. I felt that the contour of the Hive warranted the installation of an "upgraded" release as it was difficult to manipulate with the stock release. So...install, dry fire practice, mag change practice...match time... My release came with two tabs. One a tear drop shape, the other a circle. I installed the tear drop based upon the videos I saw and the pictures available of other installations. Once the buzzer went off...I encountered a whole other experience. My grip was in direct contact with the release. The magazine dropped mid string. I had to grip in a weird way to even finish. The product itself is a great item. You will need to take the time to thoroughly position the tear drop tab (or run the circle) to prevent accidental magazine drops. There is nothing worse than suffering the anticipation of a failure with a gun you don't trust in the middle of the match. Tune the part and you will love it.

    Watch your grip

This is a great piece for quick mag changes. Just watch how your grip with your left hand or you might accidentally bump it. Not that I've done that yet.......

    Not for left handed shooting

The item is of high quality, works as intended and is easy to install. However, being a left handed shooter, it interferes with accessing the trigger making it unusable.

Tandemkross makes the best upgrades for the Victory. I have the Rosewood grips, Halo, base pads, trigger, Titan mag release and plus 1 mag followers (for my 6 mags). Total perfection!

I really like it. It is right there under my thumb if I need to use it and it doesn't interfere with one-handed or two-handed grips. But .... it protrudes a bit out of the grip. Could it snag if used in a holster? I don't use holsters but it's something to think about.

    Great for competition

Posted by William R. Harris on 7th Mar 2017

This extended magazine release is larger and can be positioned by rotating wherever the shooter likes. This makes magazine ejection much easier and faster for competition. You must be more aware when shooting not to accidentally hit the release. I would prefer that this release be not quite so high, but I love the ability to move it around and the shape and texture. For me it protrudes about 1/32" too high tot be perfect. I would like the option of setting the height along with the position.
